Blink 182 add O2 Academy Brixton to UK tour

2 intimate UK shows added to the biggest UK pop punk tour of all time

Blink-182 have announced that they will play 2 intimate club shows at the end of their UK/European tour.  The dates will be at Manchester O2 Apollo on Tuesday 24th July and London O2 Academy Brixton on Wednesday 25th July.  Tickets are priced at £32.50 in Manchester and £35 in London and go on general sale at 9.30am on Friday 25 May.

Drummer Travis Barker has said “We’ve super excited to be doing a couple of smaller club shows at the end of our European run.  It’s been a while since we’ve done shows in the UK like this and we think it will be awesome for our fans and for us too.  I’m leaving next week to come over to Europe and can’t wait to see all of our fans at the shows!”

Blink 182 were formed in San Diego in 1992 by Mark Hoppus and Tom De Longe and later joined by drummer Travis Barker. The bands breakthrough album, Enema Of The State, was released in 1999 and went on to sell in excess of 15 million copies worldwide.  Their next two albums, Take Off Your Pants And Jacket (2001) and  blink 182 (2003) cemented their position as a pop punk supergroup.  Additionally the band have won a number of MTV Awards throughout their career.

Los Campesinos! Announce Full UK Tour In March 2012

Los Campesinos Announce Full UK Tour In March 2012

LOS CAMPESINOS!  Announce full UK Tour in March
PRESALE TODAY & TOMORROW: http://www.loscampesinos.com/gigs/
ON GENERAL SALE WEDNESDAY 18th JANUARY

"focused, punchy and beautifully poetic" Q 4 stars
"Los Campesinos! could well be a British The National. 'Hello Sadness', goodbye childlike obscurity." NME
"Sundry heartbreak anthems... as they're grown, they've accrued a pleasingly emotional weight."  Uncut 4 stars
"Long may true love alude them." The Independent
"it's their most fully-realised effort yet" The Fly

Following the release of  Los Campesinos!’s fourth album, Hello Sadness, in November last year on Wichita to an accompanying heap of critical praise, the Cardiff-based band are delighted to announce a full UK jaunt this coming March.

Recorded in Girona, Spain, Hello Sadness is ten songs of love, loss and heartbreak nail-gunned to a back-drop of broken, tangled bodies, creeping, dead-eyed animals, suffocating, looming shadows and World Cup exits. It is an honest, bare-bones documentation of breaking up and trying not to break up in the process. At just ten songs and 40 minutes, Hello Sadness is perhaps the first Los Campesinos! album that sounds lean and pruned, indulgence shorn away and filler ruthlessly excised. The youngsters that made debut You! Me! Dancing! are long gone. The band they’ve grown into, though, are something to fall for all over again. Hold tight for news on a new single in March to coincide with the following dates:

Tue 20 Mar - Exeter, Pheonix
Wed 21 Mar - Bristol, Thekla
Thu 22 Mar - London, Electric Ballroom
Fri 23 Mar - Oxford, O2 Academy2
Sat 24 Mar - Birmingham, Rainbow Warehouse
Mon 26 Mar - Manchester, Academy 3
Tue 27 Mar - Liverpool, O2 Academy2
Wed 28 Mar - Edinburgh, Cabaret Voltaire
Thu 29 Mar, Newcastle, O2 Academy2
Sat 31 Mar - Sheffield, Leadmilll

Currently impressing and winning over massive audiences on One Direction’s sold-out UK / Ireland tour, Florida’s Boyce Avenue have announced their sixth UK / Ireland headline tour in June this year, this will see the band play the legendary Isle of Wight Festival and their biggest European shows to date.

Comprised of the three brothers, Alejandro, Fabian, and Daniel Manzano, Boyce Avenue is gaining worldwide recognition, through a vast and growing online fan base, for its pop-sensible blend of acoustic and rock music. The band has logged half a billion views on YouTube and has over 1 million subscribers toits YouTube channel, making it THE top-ranked band on the site, and one of the most viewed artists in the world.

Lead singer and guitarist Alejandro Manzano comments on the band’s return to the UK/Ireland by noting, "We are just so excited to be back in Europe, especially for our biggest tour yet. Our fans here have always been so awesome and supportive – we can’t wait to put on some really amazing shows for everyone.”

Guitarist Fabian Manzano adds, "As musicians, we are blessed to be able to do what we love for a living and have other people love it as well. To be able to do it for so many people is truly unbelievable.”

Daniel Manzano, the band's bassist comments, "To think that we have grown so much since our first days just playing together at home to playing such famous international venues as these is a dream come true – we are incredibly thankful to everyone who has supported us on every tour along the way."

Having recently received rave reviews when they visited the UK/Ireland to play a host of sold-out shows in November 2011, including sell-out nights at London’s O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire and Dublin's Olympia Theatre, and a performance at the MTV European Music Awards in Belfast, 2012 is sure to be a big year for Boyce Avenue. The Doors Alive @ The Stanley Theatre Liverpool

Friday night saw Stanley Hall transported back in time to the 1960’s as the UK’s number one
tribute band to The Doors paid a visit. As they took to the stage they had the look down to a tee,
especially “Jim” who was clad in leather pants, white shirt and love beads. The only thing that wasmissing was the obligatory bottle of Jack Daniels, instead they opted for Red Stripe as their on stage tipple.

With lead singer Willie aka Jim channelling Morrison to near perfection from the vocals to on stage presence, even staring off intensely into the crowd in between songs, Jim Morrison would be proud to know his legacy lives on in such a talented performer and allows the fans who never got to witness the actual Doors get a glimpse into what it may have been like.

With firm favourites like, Alabama Song (Whisky Bar), Light My Fire and Unknown Soldier recreated for you live, you can see why this tribute band has sold out gigs and back to back concerts at venues all over the UK.

Only let down for me and yes it’s a very minor one, was Roadhouse Blues. This is only because I love the live version by The Doors so much, mainly for Morrison’s live poetic on the spot lyrics and would personally have loved to have seen this recreated by The Doors Alive. Apart from that I can say with all honesty that this performance was faultless and would definitely go to see these guys again. They are back in Liverpool in January 2011 just in case you fancy a trip back in time.
