Musicosity festival adds new venue on Bournemouth beach

Musicosity Festival Bournemouth makes its debut this September and has just confirmed a new venue situated on stunning Bournemouth beachfront.

The ‘Musicosity Green Room’ will be open to festival goers, visitors and residents from Friday 2^nd to Sunday 4^th September, offering a unique seafront location with the chance to relax on the sand with live acoustic music from various artists.

The Musicosity Green Room also comes with its very own mini beer festival bar, giving everyone the chance to enjoy a range of local beers in the comfort of their own deck chair - the perfect setting to prepare for the evening’s multi-venue, live music marathon. Priority access is given to those lucky people with Festival Wristbands and tickets.

The Musicosity Festival is the first of its kind in the town and will take place at multiple venues, including O₂ Academy Bournemouth, The Old Fire Station, ibar and The Winchester.

 

Saturday night (3rd September) sees a headline set from mighty surf rockers REEF at O₂ Academy Bournemouth. REEF look set to rock Bournemouth to its core and this show promises to be a highlight of the weekend when the band bring the Musicosity Festival to a climax.

 

Other artists confirmed to appear over the weekend include Radio 1 favourite Benjamin Francis Leftwich, Carus Thompson, A Genuine Freakshow, Bright Light Bright Light and up to 50 other artists.

Musicosity's Daryl Bradbury said, "The beach venue is going to be the central point for artists and fans over the weekend. We’ve all got our fingers crossed for great weather, but thankfully we have a roof just in case".

Musicosity festival comes to Bournemouth this September

The South Coast will host a new live music festival this September when the Musicosity Festival Bournemouth makes it debut. The first of its kind in the town, the festival will take place at multiple venues, including O₂ Academy Bournemouth and The Old Fire Station, over the first weekend of the month (Friday 2nd – Sunday 4th September). The event will kick start the live touring season and give thousands of music lovers, residents and visitors to the area the chance to discover more live music.

With over 50 acts playing at various venues across 3 days; Musicosity Festival will showcase established artists alongside new and emerging talent, and offers opportunities for up and coming musicians from across the region.
