Kehlvin - New album released

4 years of silence and finally the light... or the darkness : progressive-hardcore Swiss act Kehlvin is back with a brand new album called "The Orchard of forking paths", available right now on CD through the almighty Division Records (ASIDEFROMADAY, Dirge, Lost Sphere Project, Unfold, YOG...).

After an acclaimed first album ("The moutain daylight time"), a collaborative split with the doomcore devil creature Rorcal ("Ascension") and the terrific subsequent EP "Holy Cancer", we find the band diving ways further in its own personal musical approach and thus developing unexpected schemes which give birth to an original vision of how heavy music should sound.

With this new release, Kehlvin is surely one of the most exciting posthardcore returns of 2012. You definitely don’t want to miss that! Need a proof ? Ok, so you can have an hear on the track "Troy Von Balthazar", extracted from "The orchard of forking paths" there.

Besides, a 12” LP re-edition of the "Holy Cancer" EP CD/DVD is still on the way. Stay tuned

Rorcal vs Solar Flare - Collaborative Split out now

Rorcal vs Solar Flare - Collaborative Split out now

A few weeks ago, the RORCAL guys and Solar Flare (side-project from Impure Wilhemina) locked themselves for three days in a humid basement (Rorcal's practice room actually) to write and record a collaborative track sounding as heavy as it could be with 2 basses, 3 guitars supported by drums and vocals from the Mordor. All has been mastered again by Raph Bovey who produced "Heliogabalus" album last year, and they might be even close to make an Uruk-hai cry for mercy.

As concept and guideline, the two entities found inspiration in the poem "La Ronde sous la Cloche", taken from the book “Gaspard de la Nuit”, written by the french poet Aloysius Bertrand… although the legend says that this book was probably written by the devil himself. His text drags you into a world between nightmare, hallucination and darkness which we tried to reproduce musicaly.

The release is presented in a very limited handmade digifile CDr (only 200 copies) format featuring tracks from SOLAR FLARE and the collaborative song.
Exclusively available on Call of Ror label's eshop and for entire streaming on SoundCloud.
