Calvin Harris @ Kendal Calling 2010

Calvin Harris headlined at this years Kendal Calling and what a way to finish a fantastic Friday night at the Main Stage. As dusk approached, the main stage was lit up in a glowing red aura and Calvin Harris took centre stage, kicking of his set with, “Good Times” and the crowd were certainly ready for them. Soon they were dancing and jumping around until he asked them, “Are you ready to go absolutely fucking mental!!” and they readily accepted the challenge as, “Ready For The Weekend” started and from that point onwards they literally did go mental.

For the rest of the set Calvin played his most famous hits, “The Girls”and “Acceptable In The 80's” among many other tracks, with a 80's or early 90's influence behind them and as the crowd and him jumped higher and higher so did the tempo. So much so, he even managed to blow the electrics at one point.

I've got to admit, I was never a huge fan of Calvin Harris but after seeing him live, I can understand the hype surrounding him and have to admit I have found a new appreciation for his live performances and his undeniable energy that takes over every inch of a crowd.
