New talent joins Ibiza Rocks and Mallorca rocks 2012

RISING STARS JAKE BUGG, TOY, DOT ROTTEN, MODESTEP and AN21
JOIN FELLOW BREAKTHROUGH ACTS THE MILK, SPECTOR, DJ FRESH
PRESENTS FRESH/LIVE, FENECH-SOLER AND AZEALIA BANKS ON THE BEST LIVE BILL ON THE BALEARICS

ROCKS PROUDLY PRESENTS A PLATFORM FOR THE FRESHEST TALENT TO PERFORM ALONGSIDE THE WORLD’S BEST ESTABLISHED LIVE ACTS, UNDER THE STARS

‘Rocks’ have already bagged a bill of the most in demand festival headliners for the 16 week sun-drenched series of gigs in Mallorca and Ibiza this summer and staying true to form, the Balearics foremost live music promoters will proudly present a support bill made up of the freshest and finest breaking talent around.  Jake Bugg, TOY, Dot Rotten, Modestep and AN21 join fellow supporting artists The Milk, Spector, DJ Fresh Presents FRESH/LIVE, Fenech-Soler and the hottest property in music right now, Azealia Banks.

Championed by Rocks own Music Director Zane Lowe, Jake Bugg is on the right track to be one of this year’s best breakthrough artists. Producing music way beyond his years in the mould of Bob Dylan and Don Maclean, Jake Bugg will support Ben Howard at Ibiza Rocks on 4th July.

TOY are currently taking the live circuit by storm, having supported The Horrors on tour and selling out their own UK headline tour last month.  Very much a ‘must see’ for 2012, TOY support Kasabian at Mallorca and Ibiza Rocks in July.

London rapper Dot Rotten was nominated for the BBC’s Sound of 2012 poll and his forthcoming third single Overload’ (sampling the 1996 hit ‘Children’ by Robert Miles) is certain to become one seriously hot summer anthem.  Rocks fans will witness Dot Rotten light up the Balearics in full support of Chase & Status.

London lads Modestep already have a mammoth following and a Top 20 hit with single ‘Sunlight’ under their belt. There’ll be plenty more sunlight in store when the boys get Balearics bound in support of Tinie Tempah in August.

Mallorca Rocks recently announced the addition of Swedish House Mafia’s Steve Angello to the bill and it’s with huge excitement that Rocks can confirm that it will be a family affair, with Angello’s younger brother AN21 supporting him at Mallorca Rocks in June.

Shane Murray, Ibiza Rocks Group promoter, said: “New music is a big part of what we're all about - hearing that new track in some basement club or new band that just blow you away are the things that keeps us most excited.  We've booked so many acts in support slots over the years that have come back a year or two later to headline like Tinie Tempah and Bombay Bicycle Club and it feels great to be part of their journey. We can't wait to see the likes of Azealia Banks, Jake Bugg, Toy and Spector on the Rocks stages this summer.”

It’s only three weeks until Ed Sheeran and The Milk kick off the best ever series of Rocks gigs! Multi-million selling artists, the best breakthrough talent and music icons of old and new, united – live under the Balearic stars at Mallorca and Ibiza Rocks.  The brand offers a choice of quality accommodation options at exceptional value.  Summer 2012 will see 32 ‘Rocks’ gigs across 16 consecutive weeks.  Mallorca Rocks every Tuesday from 05 June – 18 September.  Ibiza Rocks every Wednesday from 06 June to 19 September.

PLAN B, THE MACCABEES, AXWELL, ROB DA BANK AND MORE FOR IBIZA AND MALLORCA ROCKS

 Bravestation

PLAN B, THE MACCABEES, AXWELL, ROB DA BANK AND MORE FOR IBIZA AND MALLORCA ROCKS

PLUS MORE SHOWS FOR ZANE LOWE AND SOME OF THE BEST BREAKING BANDS INCLUDING

SPECTOR, FENECH-SOLER, THE MILK and THEME PARK ADDED TO LINE UP

Thanks to Ibiza Rocks, anticipation for summer has just stepped up another gear!  As excitement rapidly builds for the start of Mallorca and Ibiza Rocks 2012, so too does the line-up, with the announcement that Plan B, The Maccabees and Axwell are all on board and bound for the Balearics for unmissable headline ‘Rocks’ shows this summer.

As always, Ibiza Rocks will also present the best DJ’s, including a welcome return from Radio 1 DJ and Bestival head-honcho Rob da Bank who has a long history with ‘Rocks’ having played at the first ever gig at the opening of the Ibiza Rocks Hotel in 2008 and then at the 5th Birthday with The Prodigy. Rob da Bank is back and joins the line up with Ibiza boy Ben Howard (04/07). On top of that there’s the brilliant breaking talent throughout the season and organisers are pleased to announce that Spector, Fenech-Soler, The Milk and Theme Park and are amongst the first set of supreme support bands to be added to summer’s best bill.
Rob da Bank said: ‘I’ve been playing at Ibiza Rocks since it started and injected a much needed different vibe into Ibiza party life. I’ve loved playing many times since and can’t wait to get back to that crazy Ibiza Rocks Hotel and warm it up for the brilliant Ben Howard. Ibiza Rocks bloody well rocks!’

Following a phenomenal headline performance by Plan B at the ‘Rocks’ opening parties last year, organisers are delighted to welcome back the multi award-winning, multi-talented star to the main stage at Mallorca Rocks (03/07) and Ibiza Rocks (25/07).  A truly maverick figure in the world of music, Ben Drew’s diverse creativity is inexhaustible. Awards, accolades, acclaim and multi-platinum album sales are just the tip of his artistic ambitions. Following his quadruple- platinum No.1 second album, The Defamation of Strickland Banks, a BRIT, three Ivor Novello’s and  sold out headline tours, Drew, AKA Plan B, has just completed his self-penned directorial debut film and album, iLL Manors - a stark, often brutal and provocative depiction of Forest Gate, east London, where Drew was born and raised.

Once again, Plan B will wow the crowds with chart-topping favourites form Defamation of Strickland Banks along with the promise of new material including iLL Manors, which will be a must buy, featuring production from Labrinth (Tinie Tempah), Chase & Status (Rihanna) and Al Shux (Jay-Z) - the soundscape is as bold and brilliant as its namesake. Bass-heavy, there’s references to the music Ben is listening to now (Rocks acts Azealia Banks and Maverick Sabre to name two) as well as the dubstep, bass, hip hop and D&B that have shaped him sonically over the years.  In Ibiza, Plan B will be joined by Ibiza Rocks Music Director and the UK’s most influential tastemaker, Zane Lowe – two of music’s biggest champions united on one incredible Balearic bill.

It’s fair to say that The Maccabees got off to a very good start in 2012, with the release of their third studio album Given to the Wild  storming into the Top 5, receiving mass critical acclaim and being hailed by The Sunday Times as ‘One of the albums of 2012.’ As well as a masterpiece of an album, the South London five-piece can boast sold out UK tours including their momentous homecoming show at Brixton Academy (their third headline sold out show at the London venue to date) and they still have their biggest headline gig to come (Alexandra Palace, 08/06). It is with huge excitement that Ibiza Rocks bring The Maccabees to the famous, open-air ‘Rocks’ stage for a truly unmissable gig that’s sure to be one of many crowning moments for the ‘must see’ band this year (20/06).

The Maccabees said: 'This will be our first time at Ibiza Rocks. It's a pleasure to be involved in such a strong line-up of shows this year. Thanks for having us!'

Also freshly announced is Swedish House Mafia’s own Axwell who will headline one of the summer’s hottest gigs, with British electro-poppers Fenech-Soler playing live in support (24/07).  Given that Swedish House Mafia are now a fully bonifide stadium selling act and have just headlined Coachella, this is quite a statement to have one of the main men making their way to Mallorca Rocks for this intimate, electric, outdoor show.

Ibiza Rocks has consistently provided a platform for new and breakthrough talent, offering support slots to those they believe have what it takes to go all the way.  Tinie Tempah, Bombay Bicycle Club and Example are just a few previous support acts who have returned to headline in their own right.  This year will see another brilliant batch of breaking bands start their ‘Rocks’ journey.

BBC’s Sound of 2012 nominees Spector have been impressively labeled as ‘somewhere between Roxy Music and the Strokes, the Killers and Kanye West, Pulp, R&B and Frank Sinatra’ (The Guardian). Spector are currently touring Europe with Florence and the Machine and have just made their first US appearance to the masses at California’s Coachella festival. Safe to say these boys don’t mess about! They are sure to be on their finest form when they support Kaiser Chiefs at Mallorca and Ibiza Rocks in June, with Zane Lowe also added to the bill to make these shows a triple triumph.

British electro pop giants Fenech-Soler’s single Stop and Stare brought a little bit of the Balearics to the UK and Demons brought a dark mix of dancey beats to the charts.  They also co-wrote and featured on Paper Romance by Groove Armada and the band is firmly at the top of the nu rave pile.  They are sure to put on a show to remember for fans when they play Mallorca Rocks in July, joining Axwell on the bill.

The Milk will be supporting Ed Sheeran at both ‘Rock’s opening parties in June.  These young soul rebels promise to bring something different to the Balearics, with their irresistibly infectious mix of classic northern soul, punk and reggae – a combination so favourable that NME have labeled them ‘the next band you all should be paying attention to’ and The Guardian say they are ‘the band you’ve been waiting for.’

Highly touted London four-piece Theme Park have been releasing demos online and dominating the charts on internet Radio before now finally starting to catch the attention of the mainstream, with standout tracks such as the insanely catchy Milk. They’ve been compared to the likes of Vampire Weekend and Metronomy and hailed as “fine and worthy successors to the funk-rock mantle previously held by Talking Heads.” Having toured recently with the likes of Florence and the Machine and Bombay Bicycle Club and with their debut album due out next month, Theme Park are ‘one to watch’ at ‘Rocks’ 2012 and will support The Maccabees.

The Ibiza Rocks brand consistently boasts a bill crammed with the biggest international artists and breakthrough talent live under the Balearic stars and offers a choice of quality accommodation options in Mallorca and Ibiza at exceptional value.  Summer 2012 will see 32 ‘Rocks’ gigs across 16 consecutive weeks.  Mallorca Rocks every Tuesday from 05 June – 18 September.  Ibiza Rocks every Wednesday from 06 June to 19 September.

Tickets and hotel packages available now at www.ibizarocks.com and www.mallorcarocks.com (Gig Tickets priced from £28.50 plus booking fee) *Special Opening & Closing Party Short Breaks from €104 (approx. £89) per person (see: Notes to Editors for full list of options and prices).

Ben Howard announced for Ibiza Rocks

Ben Howard

BEN HOWARD COMES ‘HOME’ TO THE WHITE ISLE
FOR A HEADLINE SHOW AT IBIZA ROCKS

"Without a doubt, Ibiza is one of my favourite places on the planet. I've been to the island every year of my life and genuinely stoked to get there for a big show. My Grandad opened one of the first bars on the old port so that's my little claim to fame over there. Great to be part of the whole Ibiza Rocks vibe, Ibiza's always had a big gap when it comes to bands with guitars so great to be included really. I can't wait." Ben Howard

This summer, Ibiza Rocks will proudly present Britain’s biggest rising star Ben Howard at Ibiza Rocks, Wednesday 4th July. He joins an already stellar line up including Ed Sheeran, Kasabian, New Order, Bloc Party, Tinie Tempah, Example, Kaiser Chiefs, Chase & Status, Paolo Nutini, Professor Green, Maverick Sabre, Labrinth, DJ Fresh presents FRESH/LIVE, Azealia Banks and Two Door Cinema Club who will also play the 16-week long series of outdoor summer gigs.

2011 was, in Ben’s own, understated words, “quite hectic”. In the space of just twelve short months, Ben inked his record deal, recorded and released his beautiful debut album, Every Kingdom, and soon found his record propelling him into the UK Top 10. Every Kingdom has been such a success it will be released in the US in April, an album that was recorded in a
converted barn out in the Devonshire Countryside where Ben and his band currently live.

Growing up in Devon, and spending every summer at the family’s home in Ibiza, Ben surrounded himself with the richly textured music in his parents' record collection. “Van Morrison, John Martyn, Nick Drake, Richie Havens, Joni Mitchell, Simon and Garfunkel,” he says. “That’s what we’d listen to in the house and in the car wherever we were going.” It was these records that encouraged him to pick up a guitar, re-stringing his mum’s Spanish nylon acoustic as a young lad.

Ben has enjoyed a rapid rise to fame and his success continues to soar with sold out shows across the globe and a string of Festival dates this summer including Bonnaroo, Radio 1 Hackney Weekend, Latitude, T in the Park, V and Bestival. Fans at Ibiza Rocks, however, can enjoy Ben’s stunning live show in a more intimate sun kissed setting as he takes to the famous open air stage at the Ibiza Rocks Hotel on Wednesday 4th July.

The Ibiza Rocks brand consistently boasts a bill crammed with the biggest international artists and breakthrough talent live under the Balearic stars and offers a choice of quality  ccommodation options in Mallorca and Ibiza at exceptional value.

Summer 2012 will see 32 ‘Rocks’ gigs across 16 consecutive weeks. Mallorca Rocks every Tuesday from 05 June – 18 September. Ibiza Rocks every Wednesday from 06 June to 19 September.

2012 will see Paolo return with a new album as well as touring old songs and new across the world with his incredible band.
The multi-million selling artist has racked up some incredible achievements over the years, firmly establishing him as a global superstar. 2011 saw him receive the ‘Best Headline Act’ award at the UK Festival Awards for his shows at Latitude & Rockness, as well as warming up the stage for Elbow & Coldplay at Saturday night’s Glastonbury.

Now, with a stunning catalogue of material from the multi-platinum global smashes These Streets and Sunny Side Up, plus songs from his forthcoming new album, Paolo’s show promise to deliver an unforgettable evening in the hazy Ibiza sun.

Shane Murray, Promoter, Ibiza Rocks Group said: ‘Having Paolo at Mallorca and Ibiza Rocks is a real coup for us.  He’s a genuine festival headliner so these relatively intimate shows really stand out. They will also provide fans with a rare chance to see him live this summer. We're hugely excited to have him out here and hear he's equally excited about the Rocks shows and soaking up the Balearic sun. Special times for all!'

PROFESSOR GREEN, MAVERICK SABRE, LABRINTH, DJ FRESH PRESENTS FRESH/LIVE AND AZEALIA BANKS

JOIN ED SHEERAN AND TWO DOOR CINEMA CLUB FOR THIS SUMMER’S ULTIMATE FESTIVAL STYLE SERIES OF LIVE GIGS UNDER THE STARS AT MALLORCA ROCKS AND IBIZA ROCKS

AND THE UK’S NO.1 TASTEMAKER ZANE LOWE RETURNS AS MUSICAL DIRECTOR

"New Order and Ibiza are forever entwined. There's no going back so instead we look forward -to playing our first ever concert onthe island at Ibiza Rocks." - BERNARD SUMNER, New Order

Ibiza Rocks is back with its most exciting bill to date; a truly incredible array of the most in-demand festival headliners and best breakthrough artists will take over the Balearics during the 16 week-long, sun-drenched series of open-air gigs at Mallorca Rocks and Ibiza Rocks, opening with Ed Sheeran in June, closing with Two Door Cinema Club in September and crammed with OUTSTANDING talent in between including Kasabian, New Order, Bloc Party, Tinie Tempah, Example, Kaiser Chiefs, Chase & Status, Professor Green, Maverick Sabre, Labrinth, DJ Fresh presents FRESH/LIVE and Azealia Banks.

Since previously announcing Ed Sheeran for the Mallorca Rocks and Ibiza Rocks opening parties, he’s won two BRITs (British Breakthrough Act and British Solo Male) and his star keeps shining brighter as anticipation builds further for the moment he plays Mallorca Rocks and Ibiza Rocks opening parties in June (5th & 6th).

Next up is a stunning show, featuring two of the most exciting and critically acclaimed male solo stars to come out of the UK - singer songwriter Maverick Sabre and producer-turned-pop-star Labrinth. Since supporting Tinie Tempah at Rocks last year, Maverick Sabre’s success has soared with debut album Lonely Are The Brave going gold and reaching No.2. It’s been an equally good year for Labrinth since supporting Chase & Status last year then smashing the singles chart with No.2 hit Earthquake. Ibiza Rocks has
consistently nurtured new talent and provided a platform for breaking artists to play the biggest bill in the Balearics. In June, fans will see two of last year’s strongest support artists deservedly step up to headline slot status in June.

In 2005 Ibiza Rocks captured the Kaiser Chiefs for one of the first ever Ibiza Rocks gigs, just before their debut album Employment exploded. They returned for a phenomenal, intimate beachfront gig at Bar M in 2007. Six million album sales later and with a worldwide reputation as a mind-blowing live act that wow festival audiences the world over, Kaiser Chiefs are back in a BIG way with new album The Future Is Medieval – their fourth Top 10 album in six years. They make a welcome return to Ibiza Rocks, where
they’ve gone with the brand from the back room of the club, to the intimate beach bar to the famous stage at the ‘Rocks’ Hotels.

Peanut, Kaiser Chiefs said: “We’ve done Ibiza Rocks a couple of times before, and it’s great because everyone’s on holiday. We did it back in 2005 and Ricky jumped into the crowd. When you’re in Ibiza, it seems like more of a relaxing time compared to other gigs.”

Kasabian are certainly on fire right now, with their fourth studio album Velociraptor taking the group to stratospheric new levels and winning the accolade of ‘Best Band’ at this years’ NME Awards. Kasabian first played Ibiza Rocks in 2006 (Bar M) and returned for a two night residency in 2007. Kasabian are an incendiary live act who consistently tops the polls of fans’ favourite festival headliners. Now the Leicester lads make their hugely anticipated return to head up the two biggest parties in the Balearics - in celebration of Mallorca Rocks 2nd birthday and Ibiza Rocks 7th birthday in July.

Professor Green is one of the hottest talents in the UK music scene right now. The acclaimed rapper’s second album At Your Inconvenience spawned the massive No.1 hit Read All About It. With an MTV Europe Music Award, a MOBO and an NME Award under his belt, Professor Green makes a triumphant return for these Spanish exclusive shows, following his phenomenal headline debut in 2011. DJ Fresh presents FRESH/LIVE joins him on the bill and as the man behind two of the biggest tracks of the past year, No.1 hit singles Louder and Hot Right Now, he certainly is the hot on the block right now and will be equally so in the Balearics.

Hailed by many as the most exciting producers in the UK today, Chase & Status are the biggest crossover act to come out of the underground in years. Their last two ‘Rocks’ shows have been total roadblocks when these boys brought their live show to town in 2010 and 2011. Having sold in excess of 500K albums, they return to the Balearics as bonifide superstars for standout shows in Mallorca and Ibiza in July.

Chase & Status said: “Can't wait to bring our live show over to the White Isle gain this summer. We love Ibiza and are looking forward to playing Ibiza and Mallorca Rocks again this year.”

Tinie Tempah is one of Britain’s biggest stars. Since debut album Disc-Overy hit No. 1, preceded by hit No.1 singles Pass Out and Written in the Stars, the sensational solo star has become one of the most award-winning, best-selling performers of recent times.
With Kylie Minogue dancing to his set on the balcony and the fans going nuts all round him last year, Tinie Tempah’s gig was the talk of the town as he teased the ‘Rocks’ crowd to ecstatic proportions. Due to mass public demand, he’ll be doing it again in August.

This is an amazing time for Example. Third album Playing in the Shadows debuted at No.1 and delivered two No.1 singles, Changed the Way You Kissed Me and Stay Awake. Infact, Stay Awake produced by Nero is about waking up at Ibiza Rocks and seeing hundreds of kids still going from the night before. Example strutted his stuff as a support act in 2009 and 2010 before absolutely killing it during his own headline shows at ‘Rocks’ in 2011.

Bloc Party are back and are set to make their ‘Rocks’ debut as part of their hugely anticipated return to the live scene. Ibiza Rocks was born out of a concept to create a night for dance kids who wanted to rock and rock kids who wanted to dance. The East London art rockers, fronted by Kele Okereke, are the very essence of that. This gig has been a long time coming for team ‘Rocks’and it’s a huge honour to be bringing one of the bands that influenced the brand, Bloc Party, to the Balearics for the very first time.

The newly reformed New Order are back together and will make their massive debut at Mallorca Rocks and Ibiza Rocks in September. One of the most highly influential and critically acclaimed bands of the 1980’s, New Order were the pioneering force behind electronic music, largely responsible for the opening the world famous Hacienda Club in Manchester in 1982 and for 1983 hit Blue Monday, the best-selling 12 inch single of all time. Their 5th album Technique (1989) was partly recorded in Ibiza and perfectly encapsulates Balearic beats and acid house influences into their electro/rock sound. They have influenced generations of hit making
musicians the world over and are one of the most in demand on the festival circuit this summer. It will be a proud moment when they take centre stage for these unmissable sets under the Balaeric stars in September.

Bernard Sumner, New Order says "The last time New Order were in Ibiza was the second summer of love. We were there to record an album and didn't really know what we were walking into. By the time we left a few months later New Order, the Happy Mondays and the Hacienda had collided and fused with the Balearics and Ibiza's superclubs. Manchester had become 'Madchester', and dance music had made a quantum leap. Although we didn't spend much time in the studio we left with the basis of our album
Technique. New Order and Ibiza are forever entwined. There's no going back so instead we look forward -to playing our first ever concert on the island at Ibiza Rocks."

Northern Irish trio Two Door Cinema Club have rapidly become one of the biggest new success stories across the globe and just finished up their headline slot of the NME Awards Tour. They are a huge hit with the ‘Rocks’ audience and what a way to celebrate another amazing year as they bring Mallorca Rocks and Ibiza Rocks 2012 to an almighty close in September (18th & 19th).

Zane Lowe, Musical Director, Ibiza Rocks Group said: "It’s the best line up yet! It's great to have Ibiza Rocks originals like Kasabian and the Kaisers back this year along with the biggest new artists in the world like Ed Sheeran and Tinie Tempah. And this year will be the first ever Ibiza Rocks show from Bloc Party. Best. Line up. Yet!"

Shane Murray, Ibiza Rocks Group promoter, said: "This is the biggest year for the Ibiza Rocks brand yet and we're genuinely excited to be bringing 16 weeks of phenomenal live gigs to the islands. New Order have had such an influence on Ibiza and we're making history by putting on their first ever live gig here. Bloc Party will be another real moment of the summer - this show has been a long time coming! It's such an incredibly exciting time in music right now and with acts like Ed Sheeran, Two Door Cinema Club, Kasabian and Chase & Status all on the bill, the 2012 Rocks line up really reflects that. The energy at our shows is unique and with a line up as strong as this, it's going to go up a whole other level. See you on the islands!"

Resident DJ’s Doorly, Nicola Bear and Colin Peters will also be back behind the decks for 2012.

Biffy Clyro at Ibiza Rocks 6th Birthday party Review

Ibiza Rocks 6th Birthday party, possibly THE gig to go to in Ibiza this summer, had a great line up for everyone to enjoy and who better to headline the evening than Scottish trio,
Biffy Clyro.

Supporting band, Morning Parade, warmed the crowd up nicely with their 90's dance influenced rock tracks and told me themselves afterwards that "being such huge fans of Biffy Clyro it was their baptism of fire" and "they had been honored to be playing" and DJ Zane Lowe ensured everyone was whipped up to frenzy level ready for the arrival of Biffy onstage.

The opening three songs were suitably heavy and rock, just what these gigs should be about, and I was left in no doubt that these guys were going to make it a night to remember . Plenty of head banging from the band and crowd alike before they finally said hello into the 4th song. Banging out firm favourites like Who's Got a Match, The Captain and That Golden Rule the entire set was just electric, with everyone jumping and singing along and practically every arm in the house was aloft. Lead singer Simon Neil even played a guitar riff with his teeth at one brief point proving they really are rock and roll and once we got to the romantically powerful Many of Horror track, every single person was singing along.  Finishing the night with their huge hit Mountains was the only option and we even witnessed a mosh-pit within the Ibiza Rocks crowd.

Ibiza Rocks? Biffy Clyro certainly made sure it did!

The Wombats @ Ibiza Rocks 2011

Before they even arrived on stage, the crowd were shouting and cheering for The Wombats to come on after being hyped up by Doorly, Ibiza Rocks resident DJ. and Brother, a young indie/pop band, but in their eyes want to be classed as "Gritpop" according to their website, who hail from Slough. They act and sound vocally like they are trying to fill Oasis's shoes thanks to lead singer, Leonard Newall. Personally, I think they have a very long way to go and definitely do not have the blow you away effect Oasis had from their music.

From the opening track, a gentle melodic opener, which rose to an 80's frenzy, courtesy of lead singer, Matthew Murphy synthesiser sounds, which have now become synonymous with The Wombats, you got the feeling this was going to be a great gig and I wasn't wrong.

Throughout the set, The Wombats, allowed plenty of pointy finger moments, especially during, "Kill The Director" which saw the crowd bouncing and singing along with huge enthusiasm, especially to it's catchy chorus. This carried on throughout the set as they played, firm favourites "Moving to New York", "Lets Dance To Joy Division", "Party in the Forest, "Patricia the Stripper" and brand new track, "Techno Fan", released on 20th June, which I'm pretty sure is going to be an instant hit after the way the fans received it.

By the time we got to "Backfire At The Disco", the crowd went absolutely ballistic from the opening notes and if Ibiza Rocks would have had a roof it would definitely have been blown right off by the time it finished.

I can say with all honesty that The Wombats put their heart and soul into their music and it shows on stage, as they exuded sheer energy throughout the whole set and brought Ibiza Rocks back to it's original roots and rocked it to it's core.
