Album 'Crooked Deluxe' out May 2012
Fired up by their recent debut US tour, London-based rock band Capelle are set to release their 2nd album Crooked Deluxe worldwide this May. In conjunction with the release, a compelling documentary chronicling their self-funded journey from LA to New York in a (possibly haunted) rented RV will be screened at International film festivals. An honest insight into the emotional rollercoaster of touring as an unknown band, All Roads Lead To America sees them jamming with incredible artists, performing at legendary venues and shooting their video in the desert near Joshua Tree .
The new album follows their 2008 debut Money Now, Money How, Money When which was described by The Independent as 'somewhere between Talking Heads and early INXS'. Still lacing their visceral melodic rock sound with electronic production touches, Crooked Deluxe is a rawer, rougher beast showing off Australian frontman Nic Capelle's commanding vocals and diverse songwriting inspired by artists including Queens Of The Stone Age, Kings Of Leon, Deadweather and Foo Fighters. Both albums were made with zero budget, with drums recorded in an industrial estate stairwell in order to achieve a Led Zeppelin-esque sound.
