Cherry Bloom's new album - "Open and Die" slated to release on July 24th, 2012
After receiving wide praise for their first single "Get By" (music video premiered on NME.com), Cherry Bloom will release their second ten track LP "Open and Die" on July 24th, 2012.
Cherry Bloom are Octave Zangs (Vocals & guitar) and Julien Jourdan (Drums), a two-piece alternative rock band from Paris. Octave and Julien have played together for 6 years, and rocked out at several major festivals in Europe alongside bands such as Madball, establishing a fanbase in the US and around the world along the way.
Four years ago they released "Secret Sounds", their first rock/pop LP. Now, they wanted to switch to something with a heavier/stoner style. The band started to record and produce their new LP last summer.
The first single, "Get By", premiered as 'Song of The Day' on PureVolume.com in January 2012:
"Get By is a solid tribute to no-nonsense rock n' roll. From its percussion heavy intro and in your face guitar parts, to its instrumental break-turned-fade out conclusion, it will leave you with a happy reminder of why rock music should be played with full volume."
