Prince releases new single Screwdriver
Singer Prince has posted a new song, "Screwdriver," on his brand new website.The singer, who has progressively drifted away from the conventional release methods of the music industry, chose his site to share an exclusive rock n' roll track with his fans.
In 2010, Prince releases his album "20Ten" as a free giveaway with various European newspapers and magazines.
Prince will be honoured with an Icon Award at this year's Billboard Music Awards which will take place on May 16 in Las Vegas.
The 'Purple Rain' singer, who will also be performing on the night, will be recognised for his contribution to music over the years.
The singer who has had Top 40 singles in his career, released his debut album in 1978. The multi-award winning singer is following music greats such as Stevie Wonder and Neil Diamond who have also been recipents of the Billboard icon award.
The Billboard Music Awards are based on chart rankings, album sales, music downloads, and touring.
