Debut album Pins and Needles by New Zealand producer Eavesdrop

After a string of underground singles, remixes and EPs, David ‘Eavesdrop’ Wood is finally coming to the fore to release his debut album, Pins and Needles on LOOP. The confident debut offers up a heady mix of drum ‘n’ bass and showcases a range of known and up-and-coming vocalists and MCs.

Deeply musical, on the album Eavesdrop delves into areas and styles not always associated with the genre he’s operating in. He crosses spectrums with the glistening opener (and first single) ‘Clear Water (feat. Keshia)’, then flexes his musical muscles with the winding orchestral instrumental, ‘Violin Blossom’, which, features the enchanting violin of Christchurch’s Yoomia (Modern Violinist).

“Our Reflections Feat. Soulyric” is a standout track with a fluid bassline and the following track ‘What Do They Know’ brims with atmosphere while Tali’s sultry vocals invite you into the irresistible groove. Of the experience, drum ‘n’ bassstalwart Tali says that: 'Working alongside Eavesdrop in the studio was a great experience… [He’s] one of New Zealand's most proficient producers in this genre'
