The Strypes announce one off London Under 18's Matinee show at O2 Academy Islington
The Strypes will perform an exclusive matinee show at O2 Academy Islington on Friday 21st June between 4.30pm and 6.30pm.
As part of the bands extensive UK summer tour, this will be the only O2 Academy venue to hold an under 18s matinee show.
One of the most exciting new bands around, thanks to a hard-working ethos, and a phenomenal live show, their new single ‘Hometown Girl’, is fast earning The Strypes a reputation as the one of the most exciting bands for 2013.
The foursome from Cavan, Ireland have flawed every crowd they've played in front of, only fuelling their live shows even more so with word spreading so quickly that they're selling out shows months ahead of the band arriving in each city.
‘Hometown Girls’ is as raucously energetic as we’ve come to expect from The Strypes, picking up where ‘Blue Collar Jane’ left off with salvos of pin-point guitar riffs and lyrics that tell tales of life growing up in their hometown.
The Strypes will take to the stage at 5:30pm to perform an hour long set of their raw interpretations of rhythm and blues (before the sold out evening show kicks off at 8:30pm (minimum age 18). Advance tickets for the matinee performance are priced at £7.50 from ticketweb.co.uk.
Don’t miss the opportunity to watch one of 2013’s hottest acts in London at this special double-header at O2 Academy Islington, London, N1.
