Death By Sexy unveil new single Burning Like A Fever
Death By Sexy have announced the release of their new double A-side single, ‘Burning Like A Fever / Lady Low’ on September 2nd 2013, available on strictly limited edition 7” vinyl and digital download.
Made up of frontman Jimmy Sweet from LA and four Londoners, Charis, Belinda, Sarah and Hazel, Death By Sexy have been crowding back rooms in the capital over the last year with new fans eager to witness their glam-meets-garage influenced rock. Now finally there’s a new release to match the hype.
The atmospheric lead track ‘Burning Like A Fever’ is delivered with Jimmy’s trademark vocals and lust-filled charm over the building instrumentation and harmonies. Part sleazy, part sexy, this is the sound of Death By Sexy.
The track has already been picked to feature on the soundtrack of new British movie ‘The Powder Room’, due out later this year and featuring Jaime Winston, Kate Nash and Sheridan Smith.
‘Lady Low’ makes up the flip-side to the new release. Starting out with a soulful stripped-back introduction before the track bursts into life with an anthemic hook, driving rhythm and vocal harmonies that add a gospel feel to proceedings.
Produced by Jon Moon (Amy Winehouse, Example, Faithless), the two parts of the new single are the perfect introduction to Death By Sexy, and only the start of what’s to come. With live dates being put in place for a UK tour later in the year and a series of releases ready to be unveiled, this four-piece are firmly becoming more than just a ‘ones to watch’.
