F.O.E.S Share New Single Sewn To The Sail and Unknown
After streaming their debut track with Punktastic, F.O.E.S are today pleased to announce their next slab of frenetic alt-rock / post-punk ‘Sewn To The Sail and Unknown’ which will be released on 23rd September.

A more sombre and introspective offering than debut ‘Ruin Lies In The Bow and The Sword’, the new single showcases front man Chris Mackrill’s smooth, powerful vocals and the swirling, heady guitars that have seen them compared to At The Drive In and Smashing Pumpkins.

The band will also be playing a special headline release show on Saturday 21st September at The Shipping Forecast in Liverpool.

With various members hand-picked from the dying embers of previously successful Merseyside-based projects, the Liverpool quartet have got plenty of experience under their belt already, having opened for the likes of Twin Atlantic, Oceansize, My Vitriol, And So I Watch You From Afar and Blood Brothers in past projects.

First coming together under the F.O.E.S banner in January 2013, these new tracks show just how far this four piece have come from previous outfits, drawing influence from some of the most vital and iconic rock bands of previous years. Inspired by bands like Karnivool, Circa Survive, Exotic Animal Petting Zoo, Cave In and many others, the track sees shades of At The Drive In rub shoulders with un-relenting ASIWYFA guitar barrages and punishing Deftones drum breaks.
