Fake Club announce new single Bullet Brain
Feisty London scuzz-rock band, Fake Club have announced the release of their brand new single, ‘Bullet Brain’ which will be self-released on October 28th. To celebrate, the band will be hosting a single release party at The Black Heart in Camden on Friday October 25th.
After wowing crowds in Berlin with an electric support show for Kate Nash and their own headline show last week, the band are armed and preparing to release their debut album in 2014. The single is a fast paced sideswipe of a track featuring the trademark duelling guitars Fake Club are known for and powerhouse drums that don’t give in, showing up so many genre-similar bands that just can’t keep up with the pace of these girls work at.
Bullet Brain also drops in time for Fake Club’s silver screen debut in brand new Vertigo Films release, Powder Room, starring Sheridan Smith, Jaime Winstone, Oona Chaplin and Kate Nash. The girls, who play in-house band throughout the film, also wrote tracks for the film and curated the entire soundtrack alongside the film’s director MJ Delaney and producer Damien Jones (The Iron Lady, Kidulthood). Due for general release in December, Fake Club’s status is set sore when the film hits cinemas around the country and shows them off to the movie-going masses.
With more European dates due this side of Christmas, even more exciting tour news set for the New Year and their debut album set for early 2014, Bullet Brain is just the tip of the iceberg when looking at what Fake Club can offer. Don’t expect their ballsy approach to music and the industry that surrounds it to wane anytime soon.
Bullet Brain will be released digitally October 28th. The Black Heart in Camden will host the single release show on October 25th.
