Paris XY release New single and video for The Return
The Return is Paris XY’s 6th release this year accompanied by a disturbing video narrative from Euan Baker which presents a psychological thriller akin to a gritty british film. The Return brings the heady power of James Orvis’ production together with a lyrical tale of climbing back from insanity. The juxtaposition of the ever increasing complex orchestration swings back and forth against a powerfully compelling vocal delivery.

Formed in March 2012, Paris XY have since been developing their unique sound. Combining traditional elements such as vocal and guitar with live analogue synths, drum machines and pre-sampled atmospheric soundscapes. Lyricism is in the main, taking influence from the likes of Joy Division, Radiohead, Edgar Allan Poe and Robert Browning; subjected to Smith’s Blues background and aggressive delivery. The production shows Scandinavian and eastern European roots such as Trentemøller, Gus Gus and The Knife.
