Manchester based duo ,UV, release new single Receiver
U.V. are an electronic duo based in Manchester comprising singer Zandra Klievens and writer/producer Jonjo Feather. Formed in 2012 they spent their formative months writing and developing their sound in Berlin before returning to the U.K. in late 2013 and releasing their first single 'Wish.'
Zandra is the former lead vocalist of the NME endorsed ABC Club whilst Jonjo has previously released two critically acclaimed solo albums. U.V. take their inspiration from artists such as Julee Cruise, Cocteau Twins, Mazzy Star, Tricky, Trent Reznor and DJ Shadow.
Their latest single 'Receiver' combines brooding electro beats with ethereal vocals to create a hauntingly beautiful soundscape. The song itself deals with struggling with your own predicaments and relying on someone else to pull you through. The track was written on a train journey out of central Berlin to Grünwald.
