Approaching Dawn hails out of Ingleside, Illinois, which is the epicenter of Chicago and Milwaukee. Formed in the 11th hour ofthe year 2010, this 5 piece heavy music act continues to leave its footprint on those 2 cities and the spaces in between. Groove driven,paralleled with technical aggression is the state of sound being consumed. When it comes to experiencing A.D. live, the extra ingredient of consumption is the subliminal-thought prevokation, high energy theater.
Approaching Dawn is continuing to progress by playing more lucrative shows with nationally signed acts to achieve"next level" status. Along with that exposure, a second album is in production and is slated for release before the winter solstice of 2014. This will be A.D.'s second album preceded by "Evolution of Reality" which was released in 2012 and can be found on ITunes andAmazon. "Evolution of Reality" drew attention and a great review from Miguel Ramirez (According to Miguel from Mundo Rock Webzine, Evolution of Reality is “very explosive and modern…potent and indelible.” International appreciation based on social media comments andpurchases. Air play on local radio stations and guarantees of payversus a percentage of the door, have been showing promoters, venues,and fans just what A.D. is all about.
As far as the stories and legacy of this band, they are still being written. As far as the members that make up Approaching Dawn. Keroin on vocals, Patrick on drums, Rick and Steve on guitars, and William J. on bass, the goals are simple. This band is driven, dedicated and focused on giving everything they have to the common denominator of our existence, and that is music. They will never fall short of that.
