Colbie Caillat Sets September 30 Release Date For album Gypsy Heart

Following the staggering success of her inspiring hit anthem “Try”, Grammy Award-winning and multiplatinum selling singer-songwriter COLBIE CAILLAT has set September 30 as the release date for her anxiously awaited fourth full-length studio album, Gypsy Heart [Republic Records]. A digital pre-order for the record will become live on September 2 on iTunes and all online partners.

For the album, COLBIE worked with Grammy award winning and legendary producer Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, in-demand songwriter David Hodges, and longtime friend Jason Reeves. Songs like "Land Called Far Away" pair her distinct delivery with breezy acoustic guitars and a distinctly organic energy. Meanwhile, "Floodgates" begins with shimmering keys and propulsive handclaps as she carries a soaring hook. "Never Getting Over You" builds into a powerful refrain after a subtle verse.

After accumulating nine million views in only week, the video for “Try” has surpassed the 20-million mark on YouTube/VEVO. Its incredible impact generated immense passion from media and tastemakers as well. She recently performed the song on The View and at the Young Hollywood Awards in addition to appearing on HLN, CBS This Morning, Extra, and more. If you haven’t seen the video everyone is talking about, check it out here.

At radio, “Try” continues to make waves. It debuted inside of the Top 30 at Hot AC. Upon impacting the format, it also quickly became the #1 Greatest Gainer and #1 Most Added. It officially hits Top 40 early September. Expect more accolades and achievements for the song soon.

Leading up to the release of Gypsy Heart, COLBIE embarks on an intimate headline tour starting August 27 in Denver, CO at Denver Botanical Gardens. She’ll stop in major markets everywhere before finishing up at Humphreys in San Diego, CA on September 28.

Make sure to follow her Gypsy Heart this year for an emotional and enlightening journey…

It’s been a scorching summer for CAILLAT. After dropping Gypsy Heart Side A as a “surprise”, the EP landed at #1 on iTunes Top Pop Albums chart, while clinching the #5 spot on the Overall Top Albums chart. Within only 24 hours, all five of the EP’s songs had also charted on iTunes Top Pop Songs chart as well. What’s more, Caillat’s new single “Try,” previously an iTunes “Single of the Week,” has since become one of the biggest performing songs on iTunes. Get the EP on iTunes and all DSPs now.

To date, CAILLAT has been honored with Two Grammy Awards and sold over six million albums and ten million singles worldwide. Her breakthrough hit “Bubbly” remains "one of the best-selling digital tracks in history" and her multi-platinum debut COCO hit #5 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart upon release, while her sophomore set Breakthrough landed at #1. From 2011’s All of You, “Brighter Than The Sun” went platinum and enjoyed over twenty film and television placements, while seeing acclaim from People and NY Post. She’s also played sold out venues everywhere alongside everybody from John Mayer to Sheryl Crow. Beyond music, she’s an avowed spokesperson and supporter for ASPCA, the Surfrider Foundation, Save The Music, Farm Sanctuary, and The Humane Society of the United States.
