LIMF announce Terri Walker for BET Music Matters at East Village Art Club

Hot of the heels of a weekend take-over of Sefton Park which saw Ian Broudie light up the park, a dancing 3 year old steal Goldie’s lime light, Shaggy convince 35,000 people that it wasn’t him, some of the biggest in pop getting thousands dancing in the rain and an array of local talent wow home crowds, LIMF continues this week with yet more show stopping performances set to hit Liverpool and another headline announcement!

On Sunday 31 August LIMF and BET International will bring BET Music Matters to the UK for the first time to host the closing event at this year’s festival. Today LIMF announce RnB star Terri Walker will join the line up.

Having made her debut on the UK garage scene with Shanks and Big Foot, Walker has since been nominated for various industry awards, worked with Grammy award winning producer Salaam Remi (Nas, Amy Winehouse) and providing backing vocals for Duran Duran, Nas, Cee-Lo and Jamie Callum as well as working with the likes of Jennifer Hudson and Fergie as well as the Sex and The City soundtracks. Walker now joins Liverpool’s alt-pop singer songwriter Jetta, 5-piece male harmony group and MOBO award hopefuls MiC Lowry, hotly-tipped Brit hip-hop pioneer Little Simz, London RandB sensation Raheem Bakaré and MOBO winner Rachel Kerr at East Village Art Club this Sunday ahead of her album launch in 2015.

The live show will be filmed for the channel and premiere on BET International in November. A condensed package of the show will also air on its flagship programme 106 and Park in the U.S
A limited number of tickets are available priced £3 + VAT + booking fee.

Ahead of Sunday’s event LIMF fans can enjoy music across the city; continuing with its series of World Firsts By Collaboration, Sense of Sound’s Migration Music will take place at The Everyman on 28 and 29 August. Liverpool’s Sense of Sound choir will collaborate with internationally recognised beatboxer Shlomo in a voice only performance that will invite the audience to travel through significant moments in music history.
On Saturday 30 August LIMF presents Club MTV bringing some of the biggest names in dance music to Liverpool including 2MANYDJS, R3WIRE x VARSI, DJ Zeke, Tekla and Greg Burnett. Kicking off at 10pm at East Village, tick cost £5 (early bird) £7 (standard).
