Rhodes announces new track 'Breathe', headline tour and EP

A year ago Rhodes had played just a handful of live shows. Now, 12 months later, he is something of a veteran, having supported Sam Smith, London Grammar, Laura Marling, Nick Mulvey and Rufus Wainwright. He has toured the UK, sold out three nights at London’s Sebright Arms, as well festival performances at Glastonbury, Wilderness and Latitude to name a few.

Now signed to Ministry of Sound through his own Rhodes Music imprint, Rhodes releases a stunning new EP ‘Home’ October 19th. He is a singular talent. His voice is striking and the stark simplicity of his songs is initially deceptive. Whether he plays electric guitar or keyboards, solo or with a band, the sound totally belongs to him.

Using producers Ian Grimble (Daughter), Tim Bran/Roy Kerr (London Grammar) and Iain Archer (Jake Bugg), ‘Home’ showcases Rhodes impressive songwriting talent. Lead track ‘Breathe’ is beautiful, held together by a stripped back verse and a glimmering chorus. The endearing anthemic title track leads into bittersweet piano ballad ‘What If Love’. The EP picks up the tempo and closes with the warming and catchy ‘Crash’.

Rhodes will tour the UK with his band in support of ‘Home’.

Tickets go on sale Friday August 15th.

With his career in the ascendency, Rhodes received enthusiastic early support last October with his debut EP ‘Raise Your Love’ and his ‘Morning’ EP release this May ranging from the all manner of blogs to NME, Times and Sunday Times and Radio 1 and XFM playlists.  The summer has seen support continue with a BBC3 acoustic performance from Glastonbury as well as a recent session with Radio 1’s Huw Stephens.  Rhodes continues to receive enthusiastic reception from all quarters.
