Canadian award winning, Daniella Watters has been taking her career into her own hands as an indie artist with her eyes focused on the prize. She's been in the industry since age 12 and she is ready to make an impact on the indie pop scene. At age 13 she toured Canada and the US with her girl pop group Untamed who was signed with CAA and had a nail polish colour with Hard Rock Nails at the time. One of Daniella’s most memorable experiences with Untamed was when she played in front of 10,000 screaming fans in Toronto’s Skydome (now Rogers Centre). Her taste in music has evolved, grown and adapted over the years to suit different contexts and moods. Currently Daniella writes RandB with a Soul influence that is infused with inflections of pop, jazz, and Motown flavors.

Now a mainstay of Canada’s prestigious Canadian Music Week, Daniella first entered the competition in 2012 when she won the Street Idol Contest awarded by RDR Music. This gave her the opportunity to showcase her single “Missing My Love” from her EP, which was placed on several radio stations across the country, such as Proud FM 103.9 and CBC. CBC is now playing “No One Could Love Me Better” on several of their programs. Her single "Missing My Love" has been getting radio attention lately in the US market.

At Canadian Music Week 2013 Daniella played two sold out shows which were listed as “must see CMW performances” by New Canadian Music. Her shows were also sponsored by the clothing store Fresh Collective and reviewed by Winehouse Magazine, who said her performance was “one of the best RandB shows of CMW.”

Daniella is currently writing, recording, and self-funding her first solo album. The album has influences of RandB, pop, jazz, soul, and funk combining her love of multiple genres into one cohesive piece of art. The first song Daniella has recorded for her upcoming album, “No One Could Love Me Better”, produced by Marcus Kane, which is about meeting Mr. Right on paper, but feeling uncertain about them even though they are “perfect”. She shot the music video for it spontaneously and guerrilla style in Los Angeles with Visual Harassment. Daniella just released her single “Never Will Die” produced by Nick Name, which is about questioning life and death. She released her music video this week where she figure skates with Sasquatch. As a child it was her dream to be an Olympic figure skater who skated to her own music. So you can say she kind of made her childhood dream come true... even though she's not at the Olympics! The next release will be “Don’t Do Me Like That”, which is an uplifting upbeat song with aggressive lyrics about standing up for yourself when someone treats you wrong. Daniella has a few other songs in post production and is currently raising money to finish her album!

Daniella will be moving to LA in 2015 to collaborate with other artists and producers and get the exposure she needs to make it in the music industry. She is a fierce beast and will not let anything stand in her way. Let's just say music is her food.... and she's hungry!
