Christopher Owens to play The Stanley Theatre Liverpool
The former frontman of acclaimed cult San Franciscan rockers Girls, Christopher Owens makes his debut solo appearance in Liverpool in early November.
Touring in support of forthcoming second album A New Testament due on 29th September through Turnstile Records, the LP is the follow up to 2013s critically applauded Lysandre.
Brought to life onstage with the help of a newly assembled seven piece band, the show at The Stanley Theatre, University of Liverpool will be one of only five UK dates.
Tapping into a rich seam of classic Americana, Owens’ heart on sleeve lyricism and intricate arrangements sit comfortably alongside fellow cult US songwriters Elliot Smith and Sufjan Stevens.
