Jesse Malin announces Brand New Single Addicted and UK tour

Jesse Malin returns with a taster from his forthcoming album in the shape of brand new single, 'Addicted', released on 19th January.

Written around a punchy hook-line, the song is hugely upbeat even as it reflects upon difficult times. "It's about the transcendental spirit of music and its infectious nature," Jesse explains. "People come and go, bands break up, lovers part and new days begin. It was written shortly after losing my friend/ neighbor, Arturo Vega (possibly the 5th Ramone and a key supporter in my early days). Sometimes it feels like he's just away on tour. All my music is personal, but this particular song captures a lot of the changes and struggles over the last few years between records."

The new, as yet untitled album marks Jesse's first new material in over four years and happily rekindles his relationship with One Little Indian. It also boasts some stellar guests including Wayne Kramer, J. Mascis and Peter Buck (REM). It was self -produced by Jesse, engineered by Brian Thorn, at Magic Shop and Flux Studios in NYC.

Meanwhile Jesse is relishing his upcoming UK tour - "It's a chance to ramp up the band for the new record, road test the new songs over dirty English microphones and out in the pit. Also, it's a good chance to blast out some Motörhead up and down the motorway, hitting every Marks & Sparks possible! Salad days again, hope to see you in the front line..."
