Slipknot and Judas Priest announced for Download Festival 2015

The first four acts for Download Festival 2015 have been announced.

Masked metal giants Slipknot have been revealed as the Friday night Main Stage headline act.

The band will follow their Prepare for Hell tour and release of  ‘.5: The Gray Chapter’ by returning to the festival for their fifth appearance (and third headline slot).

Also confirmed to be treading the hallowed grounds of Donington Park on Friday 12th June are Brummie heavy metal legends Judas Priest, who returned with the UK album chart-bothering ‘Redeemer of Souls’ earlier this year, and Las Vegas bruisers Five Finger Death Punch.

Rounding off the first announcement are Friday's Second Stage headliners Black Stone Cherry, who have just finished a run of dates unleashing their Kentucky fried riffs on UK arenas.

The thirteenth Download Festival takes place at Donington Park from Friday 12th to Sunday 14th June 2015.
