MusicMafia presents Camden based trio Pocketclub
Pocketclub are a Camden based trio currently in residency at the Roundhouse working towards their first EP release. Homesick is the title track from that release. The song delves into the frustration and complexity surrounded by the issue of “home”. The video questions the matter of feeling at home within their emotions juxtaposed with the physical world we inhabit. The song was co produced by Joe Fields who has worked with such great artists as Paul McCartney, Mystery Jets and Amy Macdonald. We describe our sound as a combination of The XX, Solange and Friendly Fires.
The full EP will be launched on Monday the 23rd of March, pre-order is available now on iTunes and on the 27th of March they will be having a launch event to coincide with the release. The event is being produced in collaboration with the Roundhouse, digital artist Adam John Williams (http://adamjohnwilliams.co.uk) and funded by The Arts Council England. The show attempts to engage our audience in an immersive live music experience which tackles the expectations of grass roots music performance.
