Lollapalooza Berlin festival make further line up announcements
Exclusive performances by the likes of Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Sam Smith and The Libertines were already confirmed. Now, the festival makers announce a second wave of acts for Lollapalooza Berlin, ranging from big names to fresh up-and-coming artists. The grand European premiere of the world-renowned festival will take place at Tempelhof Airport on September 12th and 13th, 2015.
Berlin, May 5th, 2015 – In a clash of genres Lollapalooza Berlin adds seven new acts to its line-up. Gearing up for its European debut, the legendary festival has musical worlds colliding; uniting international fan-favorites and German live-icons. Esteemed Welsh rockers Stereophonics join previously confirmed acts James Bay and Bastille, as well as international artists Run The Jewels and Tame Impala. Adding to the international bill; expect energy from US-bands Brand New, Parquet Courts, Dawes and the lively indie up-and-comers San Cisco from Down Under.
Berlin based bands Beatsteaks and Seeed will be joined by national masters of noise, Deichkind. After dropping the No. 1 LP "Niveau Weshalb Warum" and concluding their sold-out tour, the cult collective now flash their unique mix of pop, trash, hip hop and performance at "Lolla" and thereby complete Saturday's main stage program.
There is more to come with Sunday's international headliner yet to be revealed. On June 1st, a grand launch event will finally bring the mystery out into open and might even disclose additional pieces of exciting news. Stay tuned!
Entire festival passes are currently on sale for €119. Following the announcement of the final headliner on June 1st, two-day tickets will be purchasable at a price of €139; while day-tickets remain on sale for only €69. Children below 10 years of age enjoy "Lolla" free of charge, while teenagers (ages 11-14) can attend the festival for solely €19. All ticket prices include advance booking fees.
