Stream Husky Rescue's 'Deep Forest Green' EP in Full Today

Husky Rescue’s last album, ‘Ship of Light’, was hailed by critics as “beautiful” - The Times, “spine-tingling” - Q and “ethereal” - Uncut.   Through their career Husky Rescue have remained the forerunners of an already forward-thinking contemporary Nordic music scene, with a sound both boldly experimental, yet accessibly pop.

Today Husky Rescue have returned with a new smaller-but-perfectly-formed line-up - comprising of founder Marko Nyberg, Anthony Bentley and Johanna Kalén - and the brand new ‘Deep Forest Green’ EP released today.

The 'Deep Forest Green' EP - which is no. 1 on iTunes Electronic Chart in Finland - is the sound of electronica meeting something charmingly organic, creating a sound rich, full and  - especially in the vocals of new member Johanna -  lulling and other-worldly. ‘Deep Forest Green’ EP can be streamed in full on Q magazine's site today as part of their weekly news-round-up. Listen here. Or streamed/shared direct from Husky Rescue’s Soundcloud here.

‘Deep Forest Green’ EP and Husky Rescue’s forthcoming album - set for release in early 2013 - are both released on Husky Rescue's own recently launched El Camino label. Lovingly named after their recording studio in Finland. More news to follow on the album and El Camino in the new year.

Husky Recue Offer Fans a Free Download of 'Skin of Snow' - Taken From New Deep Forest Green EP Released: 17th Dec

One week ahead of the release of their new Deep Forest Green EP (out on Monday 17th December), Husky Rescue are giving fans a Free Download of EP track Skin of Snow.

Fans will already be familiar with the track as its wintery snow and acrobat filled video was filmed live at the band’s El Camino Label Launch in Finland back in October - and simultaneously streamed live on Clash and The Line of Best Fit.

Skin of Snow is a haunting, string-led whispered lullaby.  It’s indicative of the gentle, ethereal side of Husky Rescue’s new material, in contrast to the EP’s livelier beating title track, Deep Forest Green which has been described as “vividly lovely, breathily upbeat” - Metro.

Husky Rescue 'Deep Forest Green' Free Download and Scala, London Show: Monday 12th November

Husky Rescue return with a brand new line-up, a collection of five effervescent and utterly spell-binding songs -  the Deep Forest Green EP - and their first UK show in over two-years.

Deep Forest Green is the EP’s title track and one indicative of Husky Rescue’s sound which has been described - on their last album ‘Ship of Light’ - as “beautiful” - The Times, “spine-tingling” - Q and “ethereal” - Uncut.  A sound where electronica meets something charmingly organic to create a sound rich and full yet  - especially in the vocals of new member Johanna Kalén -  lulling and other-worldly.

Computer whiz kid Anthony Bentley also joins Husky Rescue’s founder Marko Nyberg in the new line-up. The three-piece are set to showcase new material this Monday (12th November) at Scala, London. A Nordic double-bill with Pepe Deluxe.

A second taster of the Deep Forest Green EP is available in the form of Skin of Snow video, shot live at Husky Rescue’s El Camino Label Launch Party in Helsinki last month and streamed live on both Clash and The Line of Best Fit.

Husky Rescue are currently completing work on their forthcoming album - set for release early 2013.
