SWEET JANE are just back from their hugely successful stint at Asia's leading industry fest Music Matters, in Singapore where they played blistering sets on the main stage in Clarke Quay in addition to a variety of leading venues – thanks to Culture Ireland for their support for the tour. So successful were their opening nights shows that they were invited to do a further three shows around the area, as well as appearing on the hugely popular Prime Time programme on Channel News Asia which is broadcast all across Asia. They also received invites to play at other leading music festivals around the world, and secured a release in new territories for their album Sugar For My Soul. Immediately prior to their Asian tour they had played a very successful three nights with Suede in the Olympia and the previous weekend, a showcase at Liverpool Sound City!
Now it’s back to festivals closer to home beginning with their performance on the main stage on Sunday next at Temple House Festival at 2.15, with slots at several other festivals including Oxegen to look forward to in the coming weeks.
While Sweet Jane are in the studio recording demos for their second album, a single ‘Where’s Your Money’ from Sugar For My Soul goes to radio next week.
