Homecoming for local pop stars - band needed!

One lucky up and coming local band could be opening at one of the region’s hottest gigs of the year. Music students may want
to take notice. Little Sutton musician Ian Prowse will be bringing his band Amsterdam back to his home town for a special one of gig this summer at the Civic Hall, Ellesmere Port and will be joined by fellow Little Sutton performer Elsie. Both acts headlined the second stage at last year's Chester Rocks Festival weekend.

The hometown gig will take place on the Jubliee Weekend on Saturday 2nd June.
“It will mean something really special for myself and Laura to be back in our hometown and believe me there will be some party afterwards” says Chester born singer Ian Prowse.
Singer  Elsie (pronounced L-C as in Laura Critchley) has been tipped as one to watch in the Sunday Times,  now lives in London and  has spent the last year dividing her time between recording her album with the Stereophonics’ producer and touring the world as Tom Jones’ lead vocalist.

Does this train stop on Merseyside: The Very Best Of Ian Prowse will be officially released by CIA Records via Universal on Monday 9th April. The album will include 3 brand new songs as well as 7 Pele classics and 8 Amsterdam. Featuring duets with Elvis Costello and Christy Moore the CD also contains Number 1 hits abroad, 5 songs that have been playlisted on BBC Radio and the cream of Ian’s 21 years in the music industry.

The Heat Dates are    1st March / 15th March / 29th March with the final on the 5th April, the main prize is to be one of the supporting acts for the main concert to be Held at Ellesmere Port Civic Hall of Saturday 2nd June
