Prowl -Clinical album and UK Tour April 2012
“In an age where music is controlled by image, Prowl are a breath of fresh air in the sense that they don’t have one. It’s 100% about the music with this band, and that’s bloody great.” - Craig Slaney, Shattered Glass
“Melodic alt-rock bordering on metal, with a high-pitched vocal, straining at the rawk leash. They have something too, the tunes are decent and the playing has a loose jazzy freedom to it that is pretty groovy..” - Bugbear Promotions
“Prowl gave it the bollocks tonight vocally and musically, great musicians, great tracks, great effects, great guys, and a good bit of banter with the crowd.” - York Gig Guide

York-based alt-rock band, Prowl, are about to embark on their debut UK tour (see attached for a tour poster, as well as a recent promo shot), beginning with a headline gig at The Dublin Castle, Camden Town, London on April 1st, and ending at Stereo, York on April 20th for a free homecoming gig with some fantastic local supports. Prowl are influenced by the likes of Muse, Foo Fighters and Porcupine Tree.
"Clinical" is available in physical format or, you can hear it on Soundcloud (http://soundcloud.com/ prowlmusic/sets/clinical/) or, over on Spotify (http://open.spotify.com/ album/0OLGekiZ48sjXBsIdmCNCN).
"Clinical" is a completely independent release - recorded, produced, mixed, mastered, designed and published by the members of the band, under our own label "FYB Records" - who will be announcing a second signing in April 2012, to be published under this same label.
Having been picked up by various radio stations around the country, lead track "Encounters" has been experiencing some decent play time, and the feedback from this has been great. We're just really hoping to get the album in front of a few more people for some constructive feedback - we've learnt an awful lot about production and recording over the past four years, and we're looking forward to recording the follow up to Clinical later in 2012, putting the knowledge we've gained to good use...!

A brief bio of the band for you:
"Prowl were formed in 2008, and having spent time finding their place in music, they've since been taking on the world with their live show, converting the world one captivated listener at a time. A three-piece, consisting of Benjamin Sherwood (vocals, bass), Jono Sayner (guitar) and Loz Goodacre (drums), their sound is most recently being described as 'kinda grunge-metal, with melody...'.
After releasing self-produced debut album 'Clinical' in 2011, Prowl are set to spend 2012 travelling around the country as much as possible, beginning in April with their debut UK tour, opening up with a headlining gig at The Dublin Castle in Camden Town on April 1st, and taking in a host of awesome venues before heading back to Stereo, York, for a homecoming finale gig with some fantastic local supports - and by recording their second album to release on the world."
