Franklyn releases Jasmine
Haven given his supporters "Hometown Glory" ft. Brewer and a video to "William Wordsworth", the London based Franklyn Music is back with another impromptu release. Covering Jai Paul's "Jasmine", the thoughtful and creative lyricism from Franklyn in addition to Jai Paul's soothing falsetto creates a beautiful piece of music.
This strikingly honest freestyle hears him rapping about his ambitions, his personal struggles and his consequent inconsistency with music: "It's far from something fun when you gotta contend with stresses and hard to eb number one when you're constantly second guessing."
At only 18, Franklyn's honest and reflective approach to rap is an exciting deviation from the pretentious facades saturating the industry. His thoughtful lyricism boasts of being far more relevant to real life than his rap counterparts. With comparisons to the likes of Kendrick Lamar and Wretch 32, Franklyn is gaining more support and the anticipation for his new mixtape "Just Being Frank 2" is building steadily. The mixtape is slated for release mid-summer, with several freestyles and videos dropping between now and then.
