Subsound in association with Instant Vibes present Jay Robinson EP Launch PartyFresh from their launch success the team behind SUBSOUND are back at Basement 20, Hardman Street, Liverpool with a winning line-up on Saturday 16th June which they are excited to announce will be an EP Launch Party for the amazing Jay Robinson in association with Instant Vibes Records. |
Jay Robinson is the 24 year old producer hailing from North Wales whose productions are quickly gaining support from modern electronic music’s most elite artists including Laurent Garnier, DJ Chuckie, Armand Van Helden, Laidback Luke, Fake Blood, Etienne De Crecy, Armin Van Buuren and more.
With production partner Il Diablo, Jay is one half of Duo Dub Frequency, who have garnered huge support worldwide including plays on BBC Radio1s dance shows by Kissy Sell Out, Dave Spoon and more. The debut EP ‘Whoop!Whoop!’ has been released on Herves illustrious Cheaper Thrills imprint and has also been played worldwide by the likes of Moby!
With his Radio 1 plays ever increasing, and with a guest mix recently aired on the award winning Annie Nightingale show, Jays name is never far from the tongues of the world’s finest DJs.
Also on the line-up is local hero DJ Rasp. Born and bred in St. Helens, Merseyside and influenced by hip hop and turntable crews, DJ Rasp started working with records and experimented with scratching in 1996. After a couple of years of house parties, mix-tapes and practicing, DJ Rasp began competing on the battle circuit.
Now a veteran within the DMC & ITF competitions, DJ Rasp has reached finals on numerous occasions, ultimately becoming the 2009 UK IDA & DMC Battle for Supremacy Champion. Utilizing his proven skills, DJ Rasp can be found playing gigs all over the UK working with groups such as The Shakti, The Punning Clan, Random Era and The Elementals.
Undoubtedly two of the sickest DJ’s in the UK we can’t wait for Rasp and Robinson to go down at SUBSOUND. All this together with SUBSOUND residents James Sims and Dj NorX will sure mean this event is going to kick-ass. So for the funkiest beats, dirtiest breaks and baddest bass come join us for some mid-summer madness and get down to SUBSOUND in the underground at Basement 20!!
