Having started their gigging career just over 6 months ago supporting Mercury darlings Metronomy, Devon-based three-piece These Reigning Days release their second single ‘Living It Up’ on May 20th 2012.
The band’s new single follows the release of their successful debut “Changes” , which received glowing reviews and which was playlisted at regional and specialist radio stations across the UK.
The single’s video was also playlisted by music channel Q Music.
Fronted by the former lead singer/songwriter of The Quails, Dan Steer’s new band have been honing their brand of synth layered indie-rock with top producer Yoad Nevo (Pet Shop Boys, Duran Duran, Girls Aloud, Goldfrapp) as they work towards the release of their debut album in summer 2012.
Dan said, “It’s very different to anything I've done before. It combines a fusion of indie-rock with a subtle electro twist, but also with some deep and dark moments.”
Dan Steer’s innovative songwriting, distinctive voice and charismatic stage presence helped achieve national success and widespread media acclaim for The Quails, appearing at Glastonbury and Latitude’s BBC Radio 1 stage, in addition to supporting bands as varied as Muse, The Kooks, Newton Faulkner and Motorhead.
Having already established a reputation as a stunning live band, These Reigning Days are one of only 20 bands from around the world to be invited to appear at MUSEXPO in Hollywood in April. Past MUSEXPO showcase artists who have been launched onto the global stage as a result of appearing at the event include Katy Perry, LMFAO, Jessie J, The Temper Trap and One Night Only.
These Reigning Days will precede their appearance at MUSEXPO by performing showcases at the coveted Worldwide Radio Summit in Los Angeles on April 27th and 28th, which brings together hundreds of radio ‘influencers’ from around the world.
With more UK dates to be announced, These Reigning Days are already set to perform on the mainstage at festivals such as Aeon and Lemonfest, as well as headline the Exmouth Festival and Dartmouth festival.
