Dog Is Dead Announce UK Headline Tour 2013

Following last week’s triumphant sold out show at London’s Scala, Nottingham quintet Dog Is Dead are pleased to announce details of their biggest headline tour ever in February and March. Their new single ‘Teenage Daughter’ will be available on December 17 through Atlantic Records. The band will be heading out on a run of dates kick offing off at Oxford’s Academy 2 on February 22, following with shows in Manchester, Gloucester, Norwich, Portsmouth, Preston, Nottingham, Hull, Sheffield, London’s KOKO, Cardiff and Stoke Sugarmill on March 8th.

Pre-sale tickets  are available here from Monday at 9am:

All Our Favourite Stories received a flurry of glowing reviews upon its release. The Guardian exclaimed ‘solid gold indie pop songs ornamented with real precision and flair’ and the Daily Telegraph praised the band’s ‘glistening harmonies, neat rhythmic shifts and sudden blasts of shimmering guitars.’

The band have recently been travelling up and down the country, performing at various instores and they also played a sold out homecoming show in Nottingham on October 8, which was held at the prestigious Boat Club venue (acts that have contributed to the venue’s legacy include Jimi Hendrix, Sex Pistols, Led Zeppelin). Furthermore, having become a firm favourite of Huw Stephens, Dog Is Dead performed two tracks on Huw’s Radio 1 daytime show last weekend (October 13) live from Maida Vale. They will be playing a 1900 capacity venue, Rock City, in Nottingham in March.

It’s fair to say the past year has been a massive one for these five 21-year-olds. This summer, the band played 25 festivals, including their storming Reading + Leeds performance, and headed out on a 30-date UK headline tour in February. They’ve also received huge on-going support from the likes of Radio 1, XFM, NME Radio and MTV Rocks.
