Blondie announce July 2013 UK Tour dates - stopping at O2 Academy Newcastle
Newcastle O2 Academy – 4th July
London Roundhouse – 7th July
Music, style and pop culture icons; Blondie will be heading back to the UK for two very special shows in Newcastle and London in July.
Blondie have come a long way from CBGB’s and the Bowery, having sold more than 40 million albums globally and repeatedly reaching the top of the charts over the course of four decades with such hits as “One Way Or Another,” “Heart Of Glass,” “Rapture” and “Maria.”
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees (2006) Blondie emerged from late '70s new wave punk scene in New York City and defied easy categorization. They wrote great rock hooks and brilliant, ironic lyrics. Blondie have continued to be a powerhouse live act, attracting audiences literally around the world, becoming the most successful band to reunite from the class of ’77.
These new dates see Blondie hitting the road since the release of their ninth studio Panic Of Girls since 2011 and follows the announcement of an appearance at Isle Of Wight Festival and series of Forest dates.
Blondie will be coming to the following venues next year:
Sunday 7th July London Roundhouse 0844 482 8008
Thursday 4th July Newcastle O2 Academy 0844 477 2000
Tickets for London are £37.50 and go on sale Wednesday 19 December @ 9.30AM http://www.gigsandtours.com/Tour/BLONDIE/
