Manchester based Emma Elizabeth to release her new E.P. The Better Part of Me

Emma Elizabeth is a rising unsigned acoustic pop singer and songwriter from NW London who has been labeled ‘one to watch’ by One Click to Fame: ‘when we saw Emma’s performances, we felt a breath of fresh air. Her sound is so chilled and just so lovely to listen to!’.

Having released her debut EP ‘The Coldness of Winter’ in February 2012, a record that will leave you feeling far from cold, her much awaited second EP ‘The Better Part of Me’ is due to be released on the 1st of May 2013. Working with producer and solo musician Edward Turner, previous lead singer of band ‘Pegasus Bridge’, Emma has achieved a more live feel to her recordings on this EP; playing the majority of the instrumental parts herself as well as main vocals and guitar. It’s rumoured that Edward can be heard contributing some backing vocal on one of the tracks.

In preparation for the release of the EP, Emma has been involving her fans in making of the lyric video for the title track, asking them to send in illustrations of the lyrics to be used in the video. Furthermore on the day the EP was made available for pre order it ranked in the top 100 Singer/songwriter charts above Ed Sheerans A Team EP.

As well as supporting musicians such as Rae Morris, Kate McGill and The 1940’s, Emma had her first headline gig in Manchester in February 2012, Followed by her debut headline London show, in April 2013 at Trinity in Harrow  which was a great success. She has also been working with Canadian Trance producer, Somna on a track soon to be released as part of a compilation by one of America’s top Trance labels, Adrian & Raz Recordings.

Although currently studying Fine Art at university in Manchester, Emma still finds time to play at various gigs and open mic’s around Manchester city center and regularly posts covers and originals on YouTube.

If acoustic artists such as Gabrielle Aplin, Damien Rice and Benjamin Francis Leftwich are your style, then Emma Elizabeth will come as a welcome addition to your playlist.

‘Her music is incredibly soothing and as a storyteller, much like Cat Power she manages to make every day experiences seem so tuneful.’ - Quenched Music
