Allman Brown Feat. Liz Lawrence release Sons and Daughters
Finding an immediate appreciation for each other’s song writing whilst sharing the line up at a Young and Lost Club night last year, Allman Brown and Liz Lawrence come together for a haunting co-write on new single Sons and Daughters released through Mt Wolf head honcho’s Akira Records.
Already a favourite on Amazing Radio, the collaboration was born from a lyric of Liz’s ‘I will hold you tight, like the moon in the arms of the sky’ and Allman Brown’s idea to write about the emotion that can grow and be contained within the walls of a house.
The song pivots perfectly on entwined harmony led vocals and a natural dynamic between Allman and Liz that effortlessly delivers the sentiment behind the roots of the track.
With a solid live following in London, New York and Paris Allman Brown has also attracted support from BBC Introducing and Radio 2 along with healthy views on his recent Mahogany Blog session and the inevitable interest from major labels.
Writing for the forthcoming album Allman has worked with the likes of Paul Harman (Emelie Sande), producer Ian Barter (Paloma Faith) and written with a number of talented musicians including upcoming artist Lowell.
Forthcoming London Live Dates:
11th July Live Session with Amazing Radio
12th August Society of the Golden Slippers
