Cast announce hometown show at O2 Academy Liverpool
Cast have announced details of a hometown show at O2 Academy Liverpool on Saturday 21st December 2013.
Following the release of their fifth studio album in February 2012 and first in over a decade, ‘Troubled Times’, produced by legendary John Leckie, the band also sold out O2 Academy Liverpool for a one-off special hometown show last December, much to the delight of diehard fans.
2013, so far has been nothing short of hectic for the ‘Fly Away’ singers, May this year saw the iconic British rockers embark on a nine date co-headline tour with Birmingham natives The Twang and this year’s December show will see the band reunited with John Power following his return to stage in Rob Eaton's musical ‘Lennon’ at the Royal Court Liverpool and his own solo tour.
Support comes from six-piece Merseybeat act from Liverpool, The Hummingbirds, influenced by the sounds of ‘50s and ‘60s, with a country vibe. The Hummingbirds were last year’s winners of the Liverpool Music Awards’ 'Ones To Watch' for 2013 and have just been nominated for Liverpool's band of the year 2013 (Liverpool Music Awards). They are tipped by many as the hottest unsigned act in Liverpool at the moment.

Cast will also play Venue Cymru, Llandudno on Thursday 19th December and Brudenell Social Club, Leeds on Friday 20th December, prior to O2 Academy Liverpool on Saturday 21st December.
