Summercamp this August Bank holiday at Camp And Furnace Liverpool
Ladies and gentlemen, we give you the two sides of Summercamp...
First up, our late-night line-up is now live - so prepare yourselves for the combined might of 2 Bears, Ewan Pearson, Nathan Fake and Optimo as they take over Camp And Furnace for August Bank holiday.
We’re also thrilled to announce Steve Mason and local cult heroes Lunar Modular are joining our line-u-p. And in their latest elegantly crafted communiqué, those wonderful folk at The Kazimier inform us their Krunk stage will be wowing Summercampers with the weird and wonderful talents of Mamadou and Super Libador Band, Harlequin Dynamite Marching Band, Godwosh, Dead Hedge Trio, DJ Mime and Fox and Wolf.
All of whom join The Joy Formidable, Delphic, Mount Kimbie, Martha Wainwright, Dutch Uncles, Ghostpoet, Ed Harcourt, Merchandise, Wave Machines, The Staves, Benjamin Francis Leftwich, We Were Evergreen, Marika Hackman, Josef Salvat, Fair Ohs, Poltergeist, Spectrals, Le Carousel and Roscius on the Summercamp line-up.
By day, we’re thrilled to announce full details of our kids events - curated by the lovely folks at Just So Festival. The Wild Rumpus will start at 11am and run through till the early evening, featuring a Lantern Making Workshop where you can come and create your own beautiful lantern from willow and paper, all ready to be lit on the magical Summercamp lantern parade later.
We’ll also have live looped music, telekinetic powers, clowning and a dose of mischief as Ramshackalicious present FinkSoup - a tale of two mysterious, mind reading travellers called Mercival and Bile don’t you know.
Keeping the theme musical, we’ll also have a light-up dancefloor where Fox and friends will host the Woodland Animal Disco - with prizes for the cubs with the best moves.
There’ll be storytelling with camp fires and sessions where you can come and create a feather headdress – essential wear for any campfire activities - which you can sport with pride at the grand Lantern Parade finale
Early Bird tickets have all flown the coop, but you can pick up a day wristband for £30 or a weekend wristband for £50 (£20/£40 for under 18s). Just hunt us out at www.summercampfestival.co.uk, track us @summercamp_fest or set up camp at facebook.com/SummercampFestUK
