Parquet Courts to play The Kazimier Liverpool
Teaming up with regular collaborators Evol we have the great pleasure of announcing the debut Liverpool headline show by hugely acclaimed NYC punks Parquet Courts.
Described as ‘Americana punk’, the Texas born New York based band issued highly accomplished debut LP Light Up Gold through revered indie label What’s Your Rupture to universal praise in January 2013.
Hailed as ‘One of the best debut albums you’ll hear all year’ by the NME in a 9/10 review and awarded a full five stars by The Guardian and The Fly, the disc was included on virtually every end of year countdown list on both sides of the Atlantic.
Follow up EP Tally All the Things That You Broke (under the pseudonym 'Parkay Quarts') released in October maintained their critical standing while their UK tour last autumn was greeted with rapturous applause, their Manchester show a standout of last year’s gig calendar here at Harvest Sun HQ.
Recipients of a 4 star live review and garlanded ‘everyone's favourite new rock band’ by The Guardian last month, on top of an Album of the Year award from The Fly magazine, the tickets are sure to move swiftly for the quartet’s first headline show on Merseyside.
