London alt indie trio Plastic Barricades touring UK in August and September
London alt indie trio Plastic Barricades have packed their hard cases: the band is getting ready to hit the road with “Masterminds UK Tour 2014”. Warm-up gig took place in London’s Battersea Park during Summer Breeze festival last Sunday.
The journey will start on the 15th of August at legendary Lomax in Liverpool and then continue to Sheffield, Winchester, Cardiff, Oxford, Doncaster, Bristol and Brighton. Two very special hometown shows will take place on the 17th of August (The Albert, Mile End, London – UplugTV launch party) and 19th of September (Barfly, Camden, London). The band will play Thunderfest in Bristol, Hub Festival in Cardiff and Hope Festival in Liverpool.
Dan Kert (vocals, guitars, keyboards): “This has been a very eventful year so far. Plastic Barricades have released two singles – “Shine!” and “Masterminds”, got a bunch of pretty impressive reviews and tons of airplay for those; got voted to play a gig at the legendary Hard Rock Cafe London competing in Global Battle of the Bands; won a spot at Camden Rocks Festival; organized our own single launch party at the Old Queen’s Head and spent 3 months booking the tour without any help from outside the band. And now it comes to life, we are ready to go! That is wonderful!”
Fans will have a unique opportunity of buying exclusive and very limited “Shine!” and “Masterminds” CD singles, signed and numbered by the band. Each gig will also have a very special video installation and stage decorations.
