Ivy and Gold share new video for Behind the Mask
After a breathtaking performance to a sold-out London’s St Pancras Church last month and the release of their latest EP Smoke and Mirrors, British duo Ivy and Gold are pleased to reveal a special new video.
From the recent EP, ‘Behind The Mask’ is a haunting, fragile tale of love, deception and overcoming betrayal:
“Mother / Tell me is this where the story ends / Do I have to start again / _
Who’s the man behind the mask / You wore it when you had me fooled / To the last laugh”_.

The video was created in collaboration with Space NK, who handpicked Ivy and Gold to be the faces and sound of their homage to the renowned make-up artist Kevyn Aucoin (1962-2002). Aucoin worked with the likes of Naomi Campbell, Gwyneth Paltrow and Courtney Love, Space NK are hosting an exclusive retrospective exhibition at their Knightsbridge store from Oct 21st - Oct 26th.
Comprised of Rachel Wilkinson and Jamie Davies, Ivy and Gold are inspired by soundtrack composers Tom Tyker (Cloud Atlas, Run Lola Run) and Hans Zimmer as well as Florence & The Machine, James Blake and Banks. Their EPs demonstrate the strength of their songwriting: cinematic arrangements are complimented by sublime melodies and Rachel’s powerful vocals.
The two-piece’s next live show is confirmed for December at London’s Roundhouse Studio. Additionally, anyone that purchases a ticket for the forthcoming show (via Ticketmaste and Ticketweb) will receive a free exclusive download of an unreleased Ivy and Gold track.
