Paper Aeroplanes reveal video for new single Guessing Game
Last year Paper Aeroplanes took their stunning concoction of Dream-Pop to over one hundred venues, selling out at London's Bush Hall as well as many other venues across the UK and Germany. Their 2013 album Little Letters, an album of evocative, honest and personal songs, reached number 26 in the independent chart to a barrage of acclaim from critics and fans alike.
"Their latest single ‘Guessing Game’ presents the duo’s knack for an enchanting arrangement, as the riff sparkles over the padding beat. Vocally, it stirs up an emotional charge, adding an unexpected power to the stunning melody."
The video shows Sarah, guitarist Rich and a gaggle of male dancers covered in a floury substance. The song is about how difficult it is to let go of a difficult relationship. John Bland the director depicted this with a video about "how we can’t ever seem to shake off the dust and imperfections of life and the difficulties that go with it, however hard we try".
In November, Paper Aeroplanes will embark on a tour of Ireland followed by an almost sold out headline show at Union Chapel to promote their forthcoming album JOY. Produced by Mason Neely, the album is poised for release in early 2015 followed by a 6-week tour of UK and Europe with their five-piece band.
