The War on Drugs to play the o2 Academy Liverpool
It's the return to Liverpool for THE WAR ON DRUGS. The band played what many of us considered the standout gig of the year when they last visited Liverpool back in February 2012, and the excitement is tangible for their return in November.
The band’s burgeoning profile has been generated by their stunning live sets and a huge word of mouth campaign, which has now turned into mass critical acclaim with their recently released new album, 'Lost In The Dream'.
Inspired by the classic widescreen Americana of Tom Petty, heavy doses of Springsteen and Dylan, and mixed with the shoegazing textures of My Bloody Valentine, the band’s third album crashed into charts internationally; the success saw the group, led by studio auteur Adam Granduciel, become one the biggest crossover stories of the year so far.
One of just 5 UK dates, expect demand for tickets to be exceptionally high in what is destined to be one of the gigs of the year.
