On Saturday 4th October, Playa d’en Bossa’s flagship music venue, Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel, closed its 2014 season with one of this summer’s wildest parties, comprising 15 hours of non-stop musical entertainment. Starring Italian DJ Marco Carola and supported by the Italian-Swiss underground artist Andrea Oliva, Ushuaїa’s final party of the year was full of surprises from beginning to end.

Thousands of party-goers were treated to a jungle-themed spectacle, with lush vegetation invading every corner of the iconic beachfront setting, from the large central pool, which became a lake for the occasion, to a tropical rainforest on Ushuaїa’s famous outdoor stage.

The party kicked off at 2pm with DJ Andrea Oliva treating early-bird ravers to his signature underground vibes. As a resident DJ at Ushuaїa’s weekly ANTS party throughout the summer, Oliva has helped revolutionise Saturdays on the White Isle with electronic beats and knew how to get the closing party started with some of ANTS’ best-loved songs from the season. 

Headline artist, Marco Carola, made his way to Ushuaїa’s legendary decks at 5pm to deliver an epic ‘all-day long’ set with over 12 hours of non-stop music that kept the crowds dancing well into the night. Carola’s music, the jungle setting and extraordinary performances by the venue’s go-go dancers created an exceptional atmosphere and a remarkable connection between the Italian DJ and his revellers.

With a party that continued into the early hours, the techno music guru, Marco Carola, added the finishing touches to a jam-packed season, which has seen residences by world-famous DJs David Guetta, Hardwell, Axwell and Ingrosso with Departures, Armin Van Buuren, Avicii, not to mention the hugely successful underground party ANTS, with regular DJs including Andrea Oliva, Deetron, Hot Since 82, Joris Voorn, Kölsch, Los Suruba, Maya Jane Coles, Nic Fanciulli, Tapesh and Uner.

Across the 2014 season, Ushuaїa’s stage has also played host to music stars including Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike, Martin Garrix, Nervo, Paul Kalkbrenner, Pete Tong, Sasha, Skrillex and Steve Aoki, as well as ‘This Is Hard Rock Hotel’ concerts, which have welcomed Jason Derulo, Ellie Goulding, Snoop Dogg, Kylie Minogue, Pitbull and The Prodigy.
