Carl Cox has just announced the lineup for his official 50th birthday party at Space Ibiza on Tuesday 31st July – a dream team of great talent and good friends joining together to congratulate one of the island’s favourite residents.

In their premiere Ibiza performance, Masters at Work will be joining Carl and a host of other superlative artists to create one of the summer’s biggest parties. “I’ve reached the ripe age of 50 and what better way to spend it?“ says Carl. “At my favourite club in the world, on my favourite island, surrounded by my friends and some of the best DJ talent around. I’m also over the moon getting Louie and Kenny on board too – I have been trying to get them to play at Space with me for years.“ Carl also has a few surprises that he plans to keep to himself until the night of the party.

Masters At Work celebrate with Carl at Space Ibiza

Their show at Space Ibiza for Carl’s party is one of only seven scheduled performances announced by Masters At Work ‘Little’ Louie Vega and Kenny ‘Dope‘ Gonzalez for 2012. The two native New Yorkers celebrate 20 years of innovative dance music defined by their inventive production style and imaginative feel for different musical forms. With more than fifteen hundred original productions, remixes and side projects, they have amassed an overwhelming body of work that defiantly mixes everything from house, hip hop and funk to disco, Latin, African and jazz – effectively dissolving the barriers between genres. Their Ibiza premiere is definitely not to be missed.

Carl’s The Revolution Recruits is at Space every Tuesday from July 3rd until 18th September.
