Reggae Superstar Shaggy Hits Billboard Charts again

Grammy award winning Reggae superstar Shaggy, is showing no signs of slowing down or taking a break. Last year we saw Shaggy tour his album "Out of Many, One Music", which received 2014 Grammy nomination for Reggae album of the year. Some may have asked, 'What's next for Shaggy'? Well, "I Need Your Love" is whats next. Released September 2014 "I Need Your Love", featuring Mohombi, Faydee and Costi, immediately gained global notoriety with over 800,000 YouTube views in less than one week. Its no surprise that this single is currently in the Pop Top 40.

"I Need Your Love" is truly a global collaboration, featuring Afro-pop star Mohombi, Australian singer Faydee, Romanian producer Costi and Shaggy whose dancehall mix brings something extra special to the track. Currently playing on mainstream radio, "I Need Your Love" commanded over 750 spins in one week resulting in a 7 place jump from 46 to 39, entering Shaggy on the top 40 pop chart. This is Shaggy's 9th hit on the billboard charts.

"The success of the single is not solely on me, I must thank my team as it is definitely a team effort to reach where we are right now. So much more to do but definitely pleased with the success" says Shaggy.

Shaggy recently premiered a video for a new single "Picture" featuring Melissa Musique, exclusively via the leading music identification app Shazam. While "I Need Your Love" continues to excel on social media, on the air waves, in the clubs and currently over 20 million views on YouTube, it is evident "I Need Your Love" will be a hit for 2015. Looking forward to his Australian tour in May 2015, Shaggy is definitely staying busy.

Double Lined Minority to release new single White Flag

Double Lined Minority to release new single White Flag

Gold Coast pop-punk four-piece Double Lined Minority are set to release their new single “White Flag” on June 4 and announce a national Australian tour in support.

Forming in high school and inspired by a low-fi pop punk reminiscent of the '90s, the group have come a long way since their humble beginnings in 2009 and have proven that they're more than what meets the eye.

Following in the wake of their two previous releases – 2011’s With Finger’s Crossed (LP) and 2013’s Calling All Liars (EP) – “White Flag” is a hint of what fans can expect of the band’s forthcoming EP due for release in early 2015.

Written about the realisation that there are some struggles in life you just can’t fight, for singer Eddie Salazar, it was about putting himself in to the terrifying situation that millions of people faced of Typhoon Haiyan, which devastated the Philippines in 2013. “I imagined being at that place and in that situation whilst it was happening and to have 195 mile-per-hour winds coming right at you – and you have no choice but to accept what's coming to you,” says Salazar.

“White flag” is laced with the band’s trademark dynamic melodies but also reflects a maturing sound. It’s a track that will resonate well for fans of New Found Glory, Switchfoot, Man Overboard and Pierce The Veil.

Renown for their high energy shows and unhinged on-stage antics Double Lined Minority have an impressive touring history having graced the Big Day Out stage twice (in 2012 and 2014), and supporting the likes of International heavyweights the likes of Smash Mouth (USA), The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus (USA), Razorback (PHIL) and Grey-houndz (PHIL).

At the ripe ages of 19 and 20 respectively, the boys are quickly emerging as the modern face of Australian ‘DIY’ pop punk. With high expectations and the music to match, Double Lined Minority is a name you won’t be forgetting any time soon.
