One For Conversation is the brilliant new single from acclaimed singer-songwriter Daniel Pearson. While his first album Satellites was praised by the music press and was heard on the airwaves of national radio stations in the UK and Australia, One For Conversation wears a lifelong love of rock n’ roll on its’ sleeve and marks a  departure from the alt.country and folk rock sounds of his debut. The exhilarating and anthemic single illustrates the influence of The Replacements, Nirvana and Bruce Springsteen on Pearsons’ prolific and instinctive songwriting, and marks him out as a singular talent in the indie rock landscape.

Growing up  Pearson fell in love with  both  the  punk and grunge rock of The Lemonheads, Pearl Jam and Green Day and the classic rock n’ roll of Bob Dylan and  The Rolling Stones. After early years spent  learning his craft fronting punk bands, an experiment in songwriting led to him releasing a freshly recorded new song every week online for six months in 2009 – at the end of this venture over10,000 free acoustic home recordings had been downloaded. Pearson then set up his own record label (Saint In The City Records) and honed his sound supporting a diverse range of acts like Wild Beasts,  Caitlin Rose,  One Night Only,  Rooney, Michael Kiwanuka and Mumford and Sons around the UK.

The debut album Satellites presented a talented songwriter and musician with a real ear for melody, equally  capable of crafting instantly memorable guitar-pop choruses and emotive contemplative laments. Maintaining his independence, distribution and promotion was handled in house and resulted in acclaim from national press and radio stations in the UK, Australia and New Zealand.
