Paul Weller announces intimate Liverpool show at East Village Arts Club

Paul Weller has announced a rare intimate Liverpool gig at East Village Arts Club on July 3.

Weller has played several intimate shows in London recently in support of his new record ‘More Modern Classics’ and now brings his show to Liverpool in support of his drummer Steve Pilgrim’s charity Be One Percent.

Speaking of the charity Weller said, “I’ve been supporting this charity for a while now and when booking my summer tour, I thought it would be good to do a small show in Liverpool to help raise much needed funds for the charity. Be One Percent is a network of individuals who commit to giving 1% of their income each month to help the world’s poorest people.”

Tickets go on sale tomorrow morning (4th June) at 9am.

Paul Weller to play Intimate London Shows

'More Modern Classics' is the name of Paul Weller's upcoming album which takes some of his best hits from the past 15 years of his solo career and puts them all in the one place. This LP follows on from Weller's 1998 release 'Modern Classics' which showcased the first half of his hugely successful solo career.

Some of the tracks to be featured on 'More Modern Classics' include 'From the Floorboards Up,' 'That Dangerous Age' as well as new single 'Brand New Toy' that was released in aid of this years Record Store Day.

'More Modern Classics' will be released June 2nd but before that Paul Weller will play three intimate gigs in London next week which have already sold out.
