Featuring some of the hottest talent from the electronic scene as well as Red Bull Studios regulars - many of whom take to the RockNess stage for the first time.

The Red Bull Studios takeover stage features an array of exciting talent from the world of electronic music, with veteran German house duo Booka Shade headlining, with support from Belgian drum’n’bass pioneer and Hospital Records stalwart Netsky, Radio 1s mixtape educator Jaguar Skills, plus Russian bass moulder Proxy and nu-garage upstart Friend Within.  In addition, the stage will host very special guest appearances from Red Bull Studios regulars Bobby Tank and Karma Kid both of whom have recently swung by to record sessions for the Introducing series.

Bobby Tank says: “It’s amazing to be given the opportunity to play alongside huge artists like Netsky and Booka Shade. I can’t wait to get up to Scotland again - the crowds really go in”.

Red Bull Studios at Liverpool Sound City - Exclusive track released by Death Masks today

On Saturday 4th May Red Bull Studios marked the close of Liverpool Sound City for 2013 with a party that celebrated the strength of local talent, billing breakthrough acts shoulder to shoulder with some of the most topical outfits of the present day.

Highlights from the epic line-up were local band Death Masks, who performed an electric set bursting with synth guitar ballads, which included a premiere of ‘From a Distance’, a track recorded exclusively at Parr Street Studios ahead of the festival, under producer and former lead guitarist of The Coral, Bill Ryder-Jones.

Death Masks said “We'd like to thank Red Bull Studios for this amazing opportunity, It was really exciting to work with Bill at a studio as iconic as Parr Street, and we're really pleased with the results. The closing party at Sound City was excellent, it was great to share a stage with such established talent and the atmosphere was fantastic!

Great Plain Sundance opened the stage with their high energy banjo infused new age indie melodies. Performing an epic homecoming gig Liverpool's own LIPA graduate Mikhael Paskalev, fresh from supporting Alt J on their European tour rocked the Sound City crowd especially with crowd pleaser ‘I Spy’. With a packed out crowd and hundreds still queuing to get in Egyptian Hip Hop took to the stage with their psychedelic beats who paved the way for headliners Delphic, who gave an epic, hit filled performance highlighting why they are the most talked about electronic bands from past few years. Closing the live preceding and nearing 1.30am Daisy Tallulah Syron-Russell aka Syron who recently featured on Channel 4’s Launched at Red Bull Studios, mesmerised everyone in ear shot with her sultry vocal range. Festival touring collective of djs and mc’s Tribe of Xanadu kept the Sound City crowd and walls of the Arts Academy reverberating until the early hours of Sunday morning.

Death Mask’s new track ’From A Distance’ is released on Tuesday 7th May 2013, available for free download at www.redbullstudios.com.
