The Gentlemen release New Single This Is Where

The Gentlemen New Single This Is Where

The Gentlemen release New Single This Is Where

The Gentlemen are a Sheffield-based four-piece who have kicked off 2014 by being confirmed as the support act for The Feeling on their UK tour. They’ll be playing 11 dates with the BRIT-nominated band by entertaining masses with their energetic live shows and their characteristic British sense of humour.

This Is Where is a long anticipated new single, which irresistibly draws the listener in from the word ‘go’. The band contribute an airy, echoey sound that will bring to mind OneRepublic’s smash hit Apologize. It gracefully underscores the soaring vocals of their lead vocalist Nicholas.

On first listen the song seems very straight forward. Yet, its eye for detail in almost every department is exquisite as it reveals itself on further listening. The track’s production consists of beautifully recorded dreamy guitar riffs, steadily performed drumbeats, edgy synths and hooky vocal lines that are clearly made for listening, feeling and humming along.

This Is Where is a very well- crafted and intricate track which will be available for sale and download on Sunday 27th April.

Rochdale Feel Good Festival kicks off this weekend with The Feeling

Rochdale Feel Good Festival kicks off this weekend with The Feeling

The wait is over, the countdown complete. Greater Manchester’s premier free music and food event is about to begin, with a wealth of epicurean and audio stars set to appear at the occasion.

Rochdale Feel Good Festival returns for its sixth year to take over Rochdale town centre on Friday 30 and Saturday 31 August 2013. And, with this year boasting everything from chart topping bands to internationally revered chefs, trapeze artists, fancy dress and more, it looks likely to be busier than ever before.

Dominating the bill is The Feeling, one of the biggest pop-rock success stories Britain has produced in recent years. After postponing their spring tour, and with a new album ready for release, this marks one of the first opportunities anyone will have had to hear their new work.

Ska aficionado Neville Staple will also make an appearance, alongside The Crookes, The Sundowners, and Screaming Maldini. All scheduled to play on Saturday, Rochdale based DJ, football commentator, and critic
Dave Sweetmore will host the main stage, and play some of the stand out records he’s known for touring with across the UK.

Elsewhere on the same day, Simon Rimmer will be on hand to deliver a cooking masterclass in the Celebrity Kitchen, and a host of sideshows will be offered, including the Skyline Circus Arts performers, Link4Life Activity Tent (which is running a pirate themed costume competition), and Victorian-themed games and activities- perfect for the whole family. Meanwhile, the Community Tent will host a range of performances at 45-past each hour on both days, including poetry readings, dancing, zumba, MBM Academy of Fitness and Dance and a rock choir.

Not to be outdone, Friday sees a more culinary focus, with guests such as Aazam Ahmad, Andrew Nutter, Alison Seagrave and Justine Forrest keen to share their expertise with onlookers. Expect delectable dishes and the focus to be on healthy eating as a means to improving overall wellbeing. An ample selection of delights perfectly suited to an end of summer celebration, there really are very few reasons for people from across the north of England and beyond to get involved.
